00:00So, Jono, there's a lot of speculation, and this has been the speculation many analysts are talking about,
00:07is does Donald Trump and the US administration want regime change in Venezuela?
00:13Is this basically the end game of this?
00:16I mean, theoretically, it's possible that the administration could overthrow the government in Venezuela.
00:22Practically speaking, it's very risky.
00:24I mean, this has opened up a whole stack.
00:26It's a can of worms that I don't know if this administration necessarily needs.
00:29The covert operations that we're hearing about now is the most aggressive US posture that we've seen in the region in years there.
00:37So it is for sure a shift up in gear.
00:39Are we going to see troops get on to Venezuela?
00:42I don't think that's going to happen.
00:43I think this war is going to be fought at sea.
00:46Realistically, if we look at what's going to happen on the ground, I don't think we're going to see much more beyond this as well.
00:50In saying that Venezuela have not really got the ability to fight back, if we see anything, it'll be militia.
00:55And we're hearing that Venezuela are currently rallying troops for militia, which would be the main force we'd see fighting back.
01:01And effectively, that's just cartels getting together with different cartels and fighting the war on behalf of the country.
01:06So the ideal would be to weaken Maduro's government as opposed to overthrow him or oust him completely.
01:12He's already on shaky ground.
01:14And again, this story, because it's been so to the back burner of everything else, is news to me.
01:19So on the basis of somebody with fresh eyes looking onto it, you can see from looking in his popularity where it stands,
01:25the fact that he's on shaky ground politically, the fact that he's unrecognized by so many places.
01:30This may be an easy win for Donald Trump and the administration.
