00:00You suggested you've made a decision about what you want to do next to Venezuela.
00:03I understand you don't want to tip your hand.
00:04Is there anything you're ready to rule out at this point?
00:07Are you ruling out U.S. troops on the ground?
00:09No, I don't rule out that. I don't rule out anything.
00:11We just have to take care of Venezuela.
00:13They dumped hundreds of thousands of people into our country from prisons.
00:18Nobody knows better than this young lady right here.
00:21She's done an incredible job with Tom Holman and all of your people.
00:24It's amazing.
00:26You know, we have a tight border right now.
00:27Nobody comes in.
00:28But we had millions of people pouring through.
00:31A year ago, we had millions of people pouring through our border.
00:34And many of them came from Venezuela, including Trendy, Aragua, the gang.
00:39And I guess what I'm hearing, Christy, is that's as bad a gang as there is anywhere in the world.
00:43Absolutely, they are the worst.
00:46I mean, they're worse than MS-13.
00:47They're killers. They massacre people.
00:49They cut them up into pieces and they bury them in their communities where they grew up.
00:53They're horrible people.
00:54And we had a lot of them.
00:55And many of them, most of them, pretty soon most of them are going to be out.
00:59But they sent them in like we're a dumping ground.
01:03So I'm not in love with the people running Venezuela.
01:07I love Venezuela.
01:08I love the people of Venezuela.
01:10But what they've done to this country, and I really say this, what Biden and the Democrats have done to this country can never, ever be forgotten.
01:17You suggested Maduro wants to talk.
01:19Are you prepared to speak with him directly?
01:21Would you commit to doing that before you order strikes?
01:24Yeah, I probably would talk to him.
01:25Yeah, I talk to everybody.
01:27Mr. President, go ahead.
01:27Go ahead.
01:27Mr. President, follow up on Garrett.
01:28Was that who you were referring to?
01:30Was that Indiana?
01:31Rebecca Zalco of Blaise is.
01:32So in the recent interview, you had made some remarks about H-1B visas.
01:36You said about H-1B visas.
01:38You said that there were certain talents that Americans needed to outsource to foreign workers.
01:42Could you clarify maybe?
01:43Until they learned that, yeah, like for instance, if you're going to be making chips, we don't make chips too much here anymore, but we are going to be in a period of a year.
01:53We're going to have a big portion of the chip market, but we have to train our people how to make chips because we didn't do it.
01:59We used to do it, and then foolishly, we lost that business to Taiwan, very, very foolishly, because if they had a president that thought like I did, they would not have let that happen.
02:12But it's all coming back.
02:13I think we're going to have a – within a few years, we're going – and not because of the CHIPS Act.
02:19The CHIPS Act was a disaster for this country.
02:23We gave away billions of dollars to other countries and other locations and companies, and all they did was rob our money.
02:31But because of tariffs, the CHIPS are coming back, chipmakers are all coming back, and I think within a very short period of time, we're going to have maybe even the majority of the chipmaking in the world will be right in the United States.
02:45Where it should have been all along, but because we had people that didn't believe in tariffs, and they believed in them, but they didn't know how to use them, we would have had nobody leaving our country right now.
02:57And instead, you have almost 100 percent of the CHIPS are made in Taiwan.
03:01It's so disgraceful.
03:02The good news is it's all coming back.
03:05Yeah, please.
03:05The President, Mr. President, Mr. President, the gentleman in the back.
03:07The Press- Thank you, Mr. President.
03:08I want to just follow up on Venezuela.
03:10In these talks with Maduro, is there anything that he could say or do that would allow you to feel like he could stay with your support?
03:21Is there anything that he could say that he would be okay if you can stay with your support?
03:25It's hard to say that.
03:26You know, the question is a little bit tricky.
03:29I don't think it was meant to be tricky.
03:31It's just that, look, he's done tremendous damage to our country, primarily because of drugs, but really because we have that problem with other countries too.
03:40But more than any other country, the release of prisoners into our country has been a disaster.
03:47He's emptied his seals.
03:48Others have done that also.
03:49He has not been good to the United States.
03:55So we'll see what happens.
03:57At a certain period of time, I'll be talking to him.
