00:34:08because I kind of noticed his face and I thought oh no he better get taller as he get closer
00:34:14and then as soon as he got close you know I said look you know to be honest you know in bed
00:34:23when we're toes to toes your nose is gonna be in it
00:34:27and then if we ever get to nose to nose your toes is gonna be in it
00:34:33and he said he agreed because he said I thought you were Asian you'd be a lot you know shorter
00:34:40and I thought I thought you were Caucasian you'd be a lot more
00:34:42so I said let me put you on a high chair we'll have a drink
00:34:47and that was the animal dating scene
00:34:51I have been dating a lot but I'm very very how to say high standards the hygiene is very important
00:35:01one day I went to a boy's house for a date I took my gloves with me my my rubber gloves
00:35:10you need a new rose and I have to make sure the boy brush the teeth before kiss me
00:35:17I think intimacy changes and it gets better Sam

00:35:45oh well my first love was my husband you know we were only 17 and 18
00:35:52and then I spent nine years with him before we married and we were married for 11
00:35:57and we had two beautiful boys that was my forever well what I thought was going to be my forever love
00:36:03um may I ask what happened to your relationship
00:36:07the children were going to the um the Melbourne show with my husband
00:36:25so I dressed them all up they looked fabulous and off they went
00:36:28and at the end of the day um they come rushing in with their show bags and saying how wonderful their day was
00:36:36and then my oldest boy said to me oh mummy and we met dad's girlfriend today
00:36:40so I didn't see it coming so when I found out um my day-to-day life afterwards was setting the alarm you know getting up getting the children off to school
00:37:00I would come home and um I'd set my alarm again and sit in my wardrobe because I felt that that was my safe space
00:37:08I think everybody who has been hurt knows that stab in the heart
00:37:16it's just a stabbing gut-wrenching feeling when someone breaks you like that
00:37:21yeah and then at three o'clock the alarm would go off and I'd have to pull myself together to go
00:37:27pick up the children and do what mums do you know get them all ready
00:37:31and smile and pretend and then I had a light bulb moment going I deserve more than what he was doing
00:37:40please don't apologize do not be sorry for anything that you are feeling or saying
00:37:48or I'm going to get teary now because everybody goes through
00:37:55shit yeah and life is hard yeah and messy and there's not a person on the planet that doesn't
00:38:03feel like that or go through that and the more life you have the more mess there is
00:38:07so you well you kind of wear it a bit like a badge of honor I know I wear some of my grief now like a badge
00:38:14of honor that you've been through crap you've survived it yeah I haven't looked at it that way
00:38:18many women have related to the betrayal of a long-term trust and and love and
00:38:35I think we've all been through the journey of being knocked down and we've picked ourselves up
00:38:43and made something of ourselves okay let me try and be concise so I divorced at 40
00:38:53um after a period of three years I think of um trying to get rid of the up the other woman in his life
00:39:03oh shit and and I'm gonna cry and um
00:39:10my last um present from him on my 40th birthday was that Jan she's gone and I'm yours
00:39:24and then he went off to um somewhere else and I happened to ring the hotel that he was staying
00:39:36at and I thought well I'll I'll just ring and ask for her name
00:39:42and he answered the phone and I made a decision that when I did divorce that
00:39:52I like nice things in my life and if I want those things then I have to do it for myself
00:39:59I would never ever rely on someone else ever again yeah to provide for me which has made me who I am now
00:40:08it's inspiring it's I feel like it's sort of your time now which is great in your 60s how fabulous
00:40:16isn't it being part of this experience
00:40:19is quite enlightening we've all felt that we've done our journey alone and struggled alone
00:40:29being here in the mansion has brought us incredibly close together but it's um it's a wonderful feeling
00:40:39it just keeps fabulous yeah it's fabulous today Sam she came to the mansion to have a wonderful

00:41:27well we were together for 30 years so it's a long time
00:41:33I did have a lot of people question well you've done 30 you can't I why would you tap out now
00:41:39but I've got two girls and I thought what am I showing these girls I'm a coward
00:41:47I'm gonna stay because it's secure I had a good life
00:41:53the easy thing is to stay but there's no instruction guide on how to leave a marriage
00:42:00I'm saying this from first hand okay tell me about the last present your husband gave you
00:42:09oh last but it was possibly the best present he's bought my boobies
00:42:17we had a look at them and he's a finance man and they're all different sizes and his
00:42:24only question was do they cost the same and he said yes and he said well we're getting that one
00:42:31and it was the big one and they look awesome and he used to say no one's touching
00:42:38I earned the gift why do you keep saying it's a gift it's like I breastfed two babies
00:42:49do you know what that does to you yeah no you don't want to know you're too young for this

00:45:14with mom she had dementia so I made a decision I went to Korea and I focused on my mom looking after
00:45:24her and I didn't think about anything else and that actually affected my relationship with my ex-partner
00:45:33because when I came back my partner already packed up and he's gone out of my life
00:45:43well I'm sorry to hear about her
00:45:45um
00:45:47um
00:45:49but I just wanted to give all to my mom she sacrificed her love for me
00:45:53yeah and um I'm so glad I did because and then I got a phone call
00:46:04that she passed away it's January
00:46:09um that was very hard so I'm still grieving yeah so this is amazing opportunity for me to be happy
00:46:16sunny again so I feel like I feel like we need to give you a big hug honey
00:46:25I'll just let it all out and share that story with my friends
00:46:29you're so positive and so outgoing we would never know how much pain is going on inside your heart
