Madagascar: Escape from Europe is a 2012 animated film produced by DreamWorks Animation and the sequel to the 2008 film Madagascar 2. In this installment, Alex the lion, Marty the zebra, Melman the giraffe, and Gloria the hippopotamus attempt to return to the Central Park Zoo in New York City. The adventure takes them across Europe, where they hide in a circus while being pursued by a fanatical animal control officer.
