00:00Kamala Harris describes when and how Joe Biden changed.
00:04After Joe Biden ended his 2024 campaign,
00:08Kamala Harris took over as the Democratic candidate believing relations were smooth.
00:12In her memoir, 107 Days, she says she wasn't treated warmly by Biden or his staff.
00:18Harris says the once warm bond with the Bidens turned icy.
00:22My feelings for him were grounded in warmth and loyalty,
00:25but they had become complicated, over time, with hurt and disappointment.

00:39She grew frustrated when Biden delayed endorsing her after she became the nominee.
00:44She argued waiting would sow doubt among voters and donors, and he relented.
00:48It was almost nine minutes into the 11-minute address before he mentioned me.
00:52At the convention, his remarks centered on his own record.
00:56Harris questions whether Biden should have run again
00:58and notes Jill Biden's influence.

01:09The stakes were simply too high.
01:11Biden's camp prepared to push back and share their own stories if threatened.
01:15Kamala has a chip on her shoulder,
01:17and she's been told by everybody in the party to keep her mouth shut or we'll bury you,
01:21said presidential expert Leon Wagener.
01:23Everyone knows there is a deep well of dislike and distrust between them,
01:27and it's going to be an all-out war if she talks and the Biden team goes after her.
01:32If the Biden people feel threatened,
01:34you will hear stories about Kamala Harris as vice president that will not make her look good.
01:39Mark Halperin said,
