00:04The Nobel Peace Prize Committee has made its decision, and once again, President Donald Trump is not on the list.

00:12Despite a months-long push, growing speculation, and multiple international nominations,

00:17the 2025 Nobel Peace Prize went instead to Venezuelan opposition leader Maria Corina Machado.

00:23The committee instead chose to honor Machado for her work promoting democracy in Venezuela

00:27and for her personal sacrifices under a regime accused of political oppression.

00:33Her leadership, the committee says, inspired millions.

00:37The Nobel Committee proved they place politics over peace, said Stephen Chung, Trump's communications director.

00:43He added that Trump will

00:44"...continue making peace deals around the world, ending wars and saving lives,

00:49regardless of whether he receives the Nobel Prize."

00:52Over the years, he's been nominated more than 10 times

00:55by figures ranging from Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu
