00:00Lady Gaga just revealed when she wants to start a family.
00:04Lady Gaga might have had a guest role in Wednesday Season 2, but her real life is looking a lot
00:09less gloomy.
00:10The singer recently appeared on an episode of The Late Show with Stephen Colbert, and
00:14opened up about what she hopes the near future looks like.
00:17Spoiler alert, her dreams include being a mom.
00:21Here's what Lady Gaga said about motherhood.
00:23Lady Gaga has starred in television and film, released music and done some of the 21st century's
00:28most memorable live performances.
00:31From her Oscar-winning acting to her groundbreaking music, she's conquered multiple entertainment
00:35realms.
00:36But she admits there's even more on her bucket list.
00:39I would like to do many things, she tells Stephen Colbert.
00:43All of these things are open, but what I really want is to be a mom.
00:47That's my next starring role, I hope.
00:49So it sounds like she's hoping to be a mom sooner rather than later.
00:53This isn't the first time the pop star has talked about her dreams of motherhood.
00:57She told Access Hollywood after she got engaged to Michael Polanski that the greatest vision
01:01I have is to be a mom and told Elle earlier this year that a family is something the couple
01:06discusses often.
01:08That's something Michael and I have talked about a lot, allowing our kids to be their
01:11own people.
01:12It's such an intense thing for kids coming into the world, she says.
01:17And they're told how to think and what to believe in and how to eat.
01:21I just kind of want to let my kids find out who they are.
01:24It's no surprise that Lady Gaga wants her kids to feel the ultimate freedom.
01:27The singer is a prime example of a celebrity who does literally whatever they want.
01:33Just last year, the singer performed at the Oscars in ripped jeans and without any makeup.
01:38Everything she does is clearly reflective of how Lady Gaga is feeling and what she wants.
01:43And she already knows she'll encourage her kids to form their own opinions.
01:46I would want my children to understand that whatever my artistry means to them is totally
01:51up to them, she tells Ella.
01:54I would never actually want to shape it or tell them how to think about me.
01:58My kid might one day say, Mom, why do you do these things?
02:02I saw a funny video of you dressed up, she continues.
02:05Most certainly that will happen.
02:07And you know, maybe it's okay to say, what do you think?
