00:00There are two things you'll likely need a lot of as you play through Pokémon Legend
00:05ZA. Experience for your Pokémon to level them up, and money to buy resources, fashion,
00:11and more. There are many ways to obtain both as you adventure across the streets of Lumia
00:16City, but are there any good farming methods, or ways to guarantee some big earnings?
00:21Here are some tips to earn lots of EXP and money in Pokémon Legend ZA.
00:26Let's focus on EXP first. Of course, all Pokémon in your party will earn EXP after a battle.
00:39The amount of EXP can be increased with a Red Canary plush, which can be upgraded several times.
00:45You can upgrade this key item from the Colorful Screw Exchange at the Racine Construction Company
00:51by talking to this man standing outside, and exchanging any colorful screws you've collected.
00:57You can find these around Lumiose by completing scaffolding platforming challenges.
01:01Just look out for these Pokéball item drops with bright purple lights.
01:07Additionally, in the post-game, if you complete Side Mission 109,
01:12Wondrous Self-Healing Pokémon, you'll be rewarded with a Lucky Egg, a held item that also increases the
01:18amount of EXP the holder Pokémon receives. At any point in the game, if you enter into a battle zone
01:25with a strong Pokémon to do most of the battling work, and a bunch of weaker Pokémon that you need
01:30to level up, they will earn a LOT of EXP as you win battles throughout the night thanks to EXP share.
01:38Since you're relying mostly on one Pokémon, make sure to bring a bunch of healing items.
01:43Here's an example run. I kept my level 85 starter for Alligator, and changed out the rest of my
01:48team for a bunch of lower level Pokémon I wanted to train up. A level 39 Beedrill, level 14 Fennekin,
01:55level 16 Eevee, level 5 Charmander, and level 14 Froakie. And I gave the weakest one, this level 5
02:02Charmander, the Lucky Egg. So that's what they started at. And by the end of the night, after 19
02:09battles, this is where they ended up. Beedrill was now level 48, Fennekin and Froakie at level 45,
02:15Eevee at level 42, and Charmander at level 49. You can also increase your Pokémon EXP outside of battle,
02:24using items. Rare candies increase a Pokémon's level by one, but there were even better items
02:29called EXP candies. While extra small and small candies may not offer much EXP, medium, large,
02:36and especially extra large offer a lot. Rare candies and larger EXP candies would be better used
02:43on higher level Pokémon, while the smaller EXP candies are best used on weaker Pokémon.
02:49As you progress through the game, you'll obtain more and more of these items. Later in the game,
02:54you can even exchange Mega Shards for EXP candies at the Quazitico building. So even if you finish
03:00exchanging all of the Mega Stones, you'll still have incentive for collecting any Mega Shards that you
03:05find across the city. EXP candies are a great way to get weaker Pokémon on the road to catching up to
03:11your main team of stronger Pokémon. EXP candies are definitely a good quick way to level up your
03:18Pokémon, but the Battlezone grind might be more worth it. Not only are you earning more experience
03:23for your Pokémon through battles, but you're also making money!
03:28That's right, the Battlezone is also the best place to earn money. But like with EXP,
03:33you'll want to get some items first before you start the grind. Back at the Construction Company,
03:38make sure to exchange colorful screws for the Gold Canary plush as well, which increases the prize
03:43money from battles. And you'll want to make sure this is upgraded to the third tier as well,
03:48to maximize your rewards. Of course, you could also earn money by selling treasure items to the
03:54Pokémon Center, as their only purpose is to be sold for money. Depending on how much you've collected,
04:00running around the city, and from side missions, you may earn a lot. But you'll likely earn more
04:06from the Battlezone. In the post-game, Battlezones are never-ending, as the ZA Royale becomes the
04:14infinite ZA Royale. As you work through the Battlezone, make sure to pick up as many prize medals
04:19as you can. The more trainers you defeat, the better the multiplier on your prize money. This caps at a
04:253x multiplier upon reaching 30 battles won in a single night. But with all of this in mind,
04:32here's how much I earned in the Battlezone from earlier, defeating 19 trainers while mostly focusing
04:38on leveling up weaker Pokémon. And here's how much I earned taking in a different team of Pokémon,
04:44increasing my multiplier by reaching 20 trainers defeated, and clearing various bonus card missions.
04:49Between both, that's over 300,000. A full night in the Battlezone is likely to last around 15-20
04:57minutes, so in that amount of time, this is a lot of EXP and money to earn in that time,
05:03making this a pretty fast method to earn both. Now you can quickly train up Pokémon to be ready
05:10for late and post-game battles, and you can afford to buy any clothing or items you want.
