00:26Meryl Streep requires no introduction of any sort.
00:30The most classic example of beauty with talent,
00:33Streep has garnered commercial and critical success all through her career.
00:38Meryl Streep, born Mary Louise Streep on June 22, 1949,
00:44has a knack of delivering incredible performances no matter what role she takes up.
00:50She applied to law school, but she overslept on the day of her interview.
00:54The actress took that as a sign and decided to explore other career options.
01:00That is why Streep enrolled in the Vassar College,
01:03from where she obtained a BA in Drama.
01:05Streep made her Broadway debut in 1975 with Trelawney of the Wells.
01:11Two years later, she appeared in her first feature film, Julia.

04:04nominated actor in the Golden Globe history. The actress won her first Emmy Award in 1978 for her
04:12role in the miniseries Holocaust. Since then she has won two more Emmy Awards and one nomination. The most
04:20recent was in 2017 for Outstanding Narration in the Netflix documentary Five Came Back. Streep married
04:27sculptor Don Goomer. They now have four kids. Ever since her debut in the 1970s, she has been ruling the
04:35stage and the big screen alike with her tremendous performance and top-class acting capability.
04:41In 2014, Streep was presented with the Presidential Medal of Freedom, the highest civilian honor in the
04:47United States by then U.S. President Barack Obama. More than 50 films old and still going strong, Streep is
04:55by far the most prolific and the greatest living film actress.
