01:05serving as a working vessel until she was wrecked in 1946.

01:21The name Blue Nose originated as a nickname for Nova Scotians from as early as late 18th century.
01:29The stamp is considered a classic even though it was issued after 1900.
01:35It has been called Canada's finest stamp and is a favourite among collectors.

01:43Plate 1 of 200 impressions was never used because of defects found,
01:49but Plate 2 and 3 of 100 impressions were used to print 1,044,900 copies of the stamp.

02:08and the vignette was engraved by the American Banknote Company, New York City.
02:14In 2001, a Blue Nose first day cover sold for $3,650 Canadian dollars.
