00:01This is Police Interceptors.
00:04Police Interceptors are all I for.
00:06I'm going to tell my kids about this.
00:08And you're riding with the pride of Northamptonshire.
00:11Speed 120.
00:13Ace Pursuit drivers.
00:15Contact, contact, contact.
00:17With air support.
00:19Got two out, standby.
00:21And a crack dog unit.
00:23If you leave, you will get hit.
00:27They bring down the bad guys.
00:29I believe you'll want it.
00:31Keep the streets safe.
00:38And battle 24-7.
00:41Get down on the floor.
00:42In the war on crime.
00:44Crash, crash.
00:46On the floor now.
00:47This is what it is, isn't it?
00:48We find them, we lock them up.
00:52Coming up.
00:53Yeah, it's going to stop.
00:55A teapack tango with a stolen car.
00:59Well, that's tactical contact with it.
01:03Triggers a hunt for four runaways.
01:05I'm passing one put in across the carriageway.
01:12And how he hits warp speed.
01:14I can't keep up with him.
01:16It's a busy Thursday night in Northampton.
01:18It's a busy Thursday night in Northampton.
01:19It's a busy Thursday night in Northampton.
01:20It's a busy Thursday night in Northampton.
01:21It's a busy Thursday night in Northampton.
01:24Dog handler Ash Price is hunting down a stolen Vauxhall Astra.
01:28It's probably quite high likelihood that it's going to fail to stop.
01:32It's probably quite high likelihood that it's going to fail to stop.
01:33I've got Ebby in the back.
01:35So if we get any decamps and runners, we can send her to go.
01:36It's a busy Thursday night in Northampton.
01:37It's a busy Thursday night in Northampton.
01:42Dog handler Ash Price is hunting down a stolen Vauxhall Astra.
01:43It's probably quite high likelihood that it's going to fail to stop.
01:44It's probably quite high likelihood that it's going to fail to stop.
01:45It's probably quite high likelihood that it's going to fail to stop.
01:46I've got Ebby in the back, so if we get any decamps and runners, we can send her to go hopefully grab hold of them.
02:08The next Astra has triggered a nearby ANPR camera.
02:15Right, we've got a car behind it now as well.
02:18And already has one marked firearms car in tow.
02:22Should be approaching us just ahead, I think.
02:25That's it there.
02:28And there's the marked car.
02:30Dog behind.
02:33Having predicted a pursuit, decamp and dog track, Ash is getting ready for business.
02:40I think he might try and play her.
02:42I think he's testing us.
02:43Only one way to find out.
02:47Yeah, it's going to stop.
02:52Dashcam from the lead car shows the drivers putting their foot down straight out of the gate.
03:01Speed 5-0, temporary high risk.
03:08The firearms car behind keeps up the commentary.
03:11On the Wellingborough road.
03:13Speed 6-0, medium risk.
03:16As the driver is recklessly carving through traffic.
03:19Passing the Audi on our offside now.
03:22And cutting corners which could prove lethal.
03:29It's gone off-road, off-road, onto the pedestrian footpath.
03:32High risk with no pedestrians.
03:34Back down to medium.
03:35Have I got a TPAC vehicle behind me?
03:39Now the suspects are lobbing things out of the window.
03:42If an opportunity arises mate, I'll try to do a get by.
03:49Booth lane south.
03:515-0, medium risk, discarding further items.
03:54Reams of potential evidence are sent flying.
03:57Turn the rear blue door.
03:59As the suspected car thief tries to outgun the police.
04:03Wrong side, but no oncoming traffic and it's clear.
04:10At the rear, Ash is still keeping eyes on.
04:13He's third car in a growing convoy of interceptors.
04:17This is the problem.
04:18They drive like this.
04:19We've got to, obviously, be safe for the public.
04:22So it's getting a little bit of distance on us now.
04:27To stop the pursuit safely, the plan is to assemble enough units
04:30for a TPAC or multi-car box.
04:33This is like their playground around here, the Eastern District.
04:36They know it all like the back of their hand.
04:40Until then, the Astra driver is leading the interceptors
04:43on a loop of the area.
04:44It's where good cars for us make a massive difference.
04:49The suspect can't shake their high-powered fleet of Beamers
04:52and Ash's Skoda.
04:55Oh-ho, smell the brakes now.
04:58The Astra is picking up more units by the minute.
05:02It's three TPAC now.
05:04They're all set for a TPAC.
05:09Out front, the lead car tests the water, attempting to overtake.
05:12Trying to get by.
05:17Get by denied.
05:19He's refusing to stop.
05:21But now is not the right time for another go.
05:27The dangerous driver is speeding past the cyclist at 80 miles an hour.
05:30And cops in the lead car.
05:34Approaching a roundabout weight.
05:36Witnesses next eye-watering move.
05:39Jesus Christ.
05:40Made contact with a member of the public.
05:46It's taken off a wing mirror.
05:48It's taken off a wing mirror.
05:53Reaching a clearer stretch of road, Team TPAC attempt an overtake again.
05:58Showing awareness of TPAC tactics, repeatedly blocking the attempt for a get by.
06:02It looks like their target is playing around at 80 miles an hour.
06:09Fortunately, the interceptors have one more tool in their armoury.
06:16Up in the sky, flying in at an average speed of 138 miles per hour, is the police helicopter.
06:22We've got the helicopter up above now.
06:27They're going to try and do a bit of a box here, I think.
06:33Interceptors top and tail the stolen Astra.
06:37As a third unit attempts a block to the left, the desperate driver swerves into lane one.
06:42Cutting perilously close to innocent motorists.
06:56Team TPAC go again, moving up on the right.
07:00But the driver graces past the firearms car and takes off down the A45.
07:05With driving like this, the suspect is endangering everyone on the road.
07:14Time to up the ante.
07:18Oh, that's tactical contact with it.
07:23A shunt from a firearms car.
07:30Followed by a non-negotiable box.
07:33Are you coming to the left?
07:36Four suspects starburst.
07:38I'm passing one point in across the carriage, man.
07:41Dicing with death in the live lanes.
07:44Will the interceptors catch up with them in time?
07:47Get out of the carriage right now! Get out of the carriage right!
07:50I'm coming back!
08:04Oh ho! Smell the brakes now.
08:06In Northampton.
08:08Scouting items.
08:09A driver in a stolen Astra is failing to stop, causing havoc on the roads.
08:18I've made contact with a member of the public.
08:22Doghandler Ash is part of a team of interceptors on the ground.
08:26Oh, that's tactical contact with it.
08:30And on high...
08:32And pass 5-4, eh, lad.
08:35...coming together to stop the dangerous driver.
08:37And we're going to have a triple shot, sir.
08:41Now, four runners are making off in different directions on the A45.
08:46And pass, I'll put it across the carriageway.
08:50Interceptors are hot on their heels.
08:53They come, they come!
09:05Watch the traffic, watch the traffic!
09:08Cars are speeding past on the opposite carriageway.
09:14It seems one suspect has a death wish.
09:17Get out of the car!
09:17Get out of the car!
09:18Get out of the car!
09:20Get out of the car!
09:20Get out of the car!
09:20Get out of the car!
09:21Lying down in a live lane.
09:24Get out of the car!
09:26Watch out!
09:28Get over here!
09:30Get out of the car!
09:31Get out of the car!
09:32I'm on the car!
09:34What are you at?
09:34You're back now!
09:36They're back!
09:36They're back!
09:37They're back!
09:37They're back!
09:37They're back!
09:38Get him!
09:38Touch on him!
09:43Got him?
09:43Yeah, got him!
09:44Inches from being hit at high speed, he's fortunate to have made it into cuffs.
09:54Is there two over there?
09:55Yeah.
09:56Just one, that was him.
09:57And another one's gone that way.
09:59Three suspects outstanding.
10:02While the eye in the sky keeps watch over one.
10:06Yeah, he's hiding in a tree.
10:08I'm happy I've got him sort of contained.
10:12A firearms carp is closing in on another.
10:15Stay on the line now!
10:17Stay on the floor!
10:18Taser drawn.
10:20Stay on the floor now!
10:22On the floor!
10:23Stay on the back now!
10:24Don't make any move, do you understand?
10:27You're under arrest.
10:29Suspicion of theft of my vehicle.
10:31Dangerous driving.
10:32Failing stop for police.
10:38Two suspects outstanding.
10:45Hey, stop the door, show yourself!
10:48Hey, mate.
10:51In nearby fields, a cyclist flags down an interceptor.
10:55There was a young lad just crossing that footage.
10:58He stopped me and asked if there was anywhere he could get a taxi from.
11:01Oh, was he out of breath?
11:02I would say so.
11:04A solid lead.
11:07The officer scopes out the location of the sighting.
11:09It's eerily quiet, until...
11:21Give me your hands!
11:24Get out!
11:266-1-1 detained.
11:29First time out here on there.
11:31Under arrest.
11:32On suspicion.
11:33Dangerous driving.
11:34It's hard to stop the police.
11:35That's three suspects nicked and one out standing.
11:42He's running now, down a path that is parallel with the road to the other side of the trees,
11:49so he's running to the east.
11:52Thanks to the police helicopter's thermal imaging camera...
11:55Is he the carriageway side?
11:59He'll be hard pushed to escape dog handler Ash and five-year-old German shepherd, Evie.
12:04It's between the road and the river.
12:07It's now running up towards the river.
12:11Go on, three.
12:12Running from Evie is not a wise move.
12:21Do you see us coming through the dock?
12:25Looking now.
12:32Right, yes, got you.
12:34Keep the direction you're going.
12:36In fact, you're pretty much going straight towards him.
12:38Going through that gap in those trees.
12:43He's up now.
12:44He's running again.
12:47Parallel with the stream.
12:49To the left.
12:52It's pitch darkness for cops on the ground.
12:56Yet for the heli, the suspect is lit up like a Christmas tree.
13:00And he's put back down in the undergrowth again.
13:02Just keep going forwards.
13:04See the trees to your left side?
13:10It's just put down in the edge of those.
13:12Up near the water.
13:19You're walking straight towards him now.
13:22I can see him.
13:23I can see you.
13:24Show your head.
13:24I can see you.
13:25Mate, police are a dog.
13:30Show yourself.
13:30Stay on the floor.
13:33Stay on the floor.
13:34Hands more on your back.
13:35Do it now.
13:37Don't move.
13:38OK.
13:39Yeah, we've got him.
13:40And pass.
13:42OK, no sudden movements.
13:45Teamwork at its finest.
13:46All four suspects from the stolen car are rounded up and nicked.
14:08You're all right.
14:10Police interceptors.
14:12Hey, police interceptors.
14:13Take a seat.
14:14Get in the car.
14:15Come in.
14:15Oi.
14:17Free up.
14:17Free up.
14:18Free me up, bro.
14:19Free me up.
14:19Oi, shut your mouth and get in the car.
14:21Why are you pulling me like that, bro?
14:23Stopping you pissing about at the side of a dual carriageway.
14:25See yourself down.
14:26See yourself down.
14:26Stop pulling me and I'll get in.
14:27Right, sit in the car, please.
14:28Please don't pull me.
14:29Yeah, we're going to keep hold of you at the side of a dual carriageway.
14:31I'll get in if you don't pull me.
14:33We're not pulling you.
14:33Sit in the rear vehicle, please.
14:35Watch your head.
14:36Thank you very much.
14:38It was quite a full-on pursuit, actually.
14:40Went relatively high risk at some points.
14:42High speed, obviously, down through all the estates.
14:44You can see it's only, sort of, what, ten to nine in the evening.
14:48So, still heavy traffic.
14:50People coming home.
14:51People, you know, going about their daily business.
14:53And they don't really deserve to be exposed to the risks that these idiots put them through.
14:58But, luckily, no-one's been injured.
15:00No subjects have been injured.
15:01No significant damage to the public or to ourselves.
15:04We've got four in custody and a vehicle back.
15:06Good job, overall.
15:10Unbelievably, the A45 Roadrunners seem to see the funny side.
15:14The first time I get them back, I promise you, this is hilarious.
15:20Ash and Eby's find is 15 years old.
15:23If you didn't have that dog, I would've got to wait.
15:26Another bloke is wanted on recall to prison.
15:30Have they shot down the whole roadway?
15:32Of course we have.
15:34That's mad.
15:36And interceptor Harrison Beverley is on scene as backup,
15:40dealing with the lad who made the jaw-dropping decision to lie down in the carriageway.
15:45Is it a mad chase?
15:46It's not a mad chase.
15:48You also want it for breach of car, aren't you?
15:50Although he seems more interested in the culinary options at custody.
15:55Are you going to putt noodles now?
15:57Yeah.
15:57You're lying.
15:58This is why people commit crimes.
16:00So they get putt noodles at the police station.
16:03He's lucky not to be brown-bred.
16:05You know you could just go to the shop and get a putt noodle?
16:08Yeah.
16:08I'd avoid all of this.
16:12The four suspects are off to the nick.
16:15Ash and the crew are getting back on the road.
16:20Leaving Harrison to wait for a recovery truck.
16:22It's in the door pocket of the driver's side.
16:29And the stolen Astra is the gift that keeps on giving.
16:34Police tell Batten, I've ever seen the driver's door.
16:38Easily could have grabbed one of them and obviously tried to go on an officer with it.
16:42Yeah, we'll get it seized and get it booked into some property.
16:44We'll take it out of the car.
16:45We'll take it out of the car.
17:16North Hamptonshire's roads policing unit has five teams of interceptors
17:20in a fleet of marked and unmarked cars,
17:23keeping watch over the county's road network 24-7.
17:28There is a stat somewhere that says something along the lines of
17:32when motorists see a marked police car,
17:36the standard of driving on that stretch of road
17:38increases and improves for at least 10 minutes,
17:42but the difference between when we're in a marked and unmarked car
17:45is night and day,
17:46in an unmarked car they just drive like they normally would
17:49without the police around them,
17:51which unfortunately for some people is not good enough.
17:54On a wet mid-week night shift are interceptors Keith Gay
18:02and, in the passenger seat, Michael Hollowell.
18:05So on the way in tonight,
18:07I saw a car with his wheels turned out and he got caught exposed.
18:10So I've got a registration.
18:12So I'll be looking for that.
18:14So you get what you're cycling to work,
18:15so you see loads of stuff in cycling to work.
18:17Swapping two wheels for four,
18:23they're keeping their eyes peeled
18:25from the comfort of an unmarked BMW 330.
18:30The perfect tool for slipping under the radar
18:35and spotting dodgy drivers in the wild.
18:43So you're going to be fast?
18:44I don't know, I couldn't tell
18:45because I wasn't actually going that fast myself.
18:47Oh, OK.
18:49It's not going slow.
18:52Keith gets them a closer look at the speedy Audi RS5.
18:57Well, that's 83.
18:58I'd say I pretty much got it matched.
19:0082 and 60.
19:01And the driver continues putting pedal to the metal,
19:07unaware he's got company in the unmarked.
19:10To be fair, I think you've got it matched.
19:13Around a 95.
19:16In hammering rain like this,
19:18stopping distances will be at least double those on dry roads.
19:22One false move could cause disaster.
19:26Yeah, he's getting away from you.
19:27We're 82.
19:2782, well, yeah.
19:31Keith and Michael need to have a word.
19:38Stand by.
19:41Jesus Christ.
19:43We have liftoff.
19:46Oh, mate.
19:48I can't keep up with him.
19:52Capable of 0 to 60 in 3.9 seconds.
19:55Oh, Jesus Christ.
19:57The RS5 driver flies off into the distance.
20:04That's launch mode, that is, isn't it?
20:07That's 90, 90 miles an hour.
20:11He's flooring it with 444 horsepower versus the Beamers' 282.
20:17Light him up.
20:18Keith might not be in his dream BMW of choice, the M3,
20:27but his advanced driving skills are keeping them on the speeder's tracks.
20:35Just about.
20:35That's 85.
20:39You have 90 from the Vanderbilt.
20:40Yeah.
20:41So, careless?
20:44Yeah, he hasn't done any of the speed limits.
20:46No.
20:47And he don't want to stop at the moment either, does he?
20:49Well, I think he will stop.
20:51Where are you going, mate?
20:51You can't turn right.
20:52You can't turn right.
20:52You can't turn right.
20:54He's narrowly avoiding one more faux pas in front of the interceptors.
20:58Well done.
21:07Time for the driver to explain why he's been treating the A-Roads like a lap at Silverstone.
21:13Where have you been tonight?
21:15Literally, I've been working till about nine o'clock.
21:18Right.
21:19Just been to get a McDonald's.
21:20Okey-dokey.
21:21Starving at a moment.
21:22Well, that doesn't justify, like, hitting 90 miles an hour, does it?
21:27At the end of the day.
21:28I've had you match the 80 mile an hour, and then, obviously, off the roundabout, mate,
21:34that is just unbelievable.
21:36I couldn't keep up with you.
21:37I'm not in a slow car myself, but I think we reckon you hit 90 down there.
21:44Following this fast food dash, he's going to be reported for driving without due care and attention.
21:50Tonight, it's really wet.
21:52Yes, OK, that's an RS5.
21:54It's probably got great traction.
21:55But it's that unknown.
21:58You know, if a vehicle pulls out, you've only got to be on the accelerator and not the brake,
22:02and you're going to have a collision.
22:03We're going to end up with possibly a serious injury or even the fatal.
22:08Thankfully, there haven't been any accidents this evening.
22:10petrol head Keith still has one burning question.
22:14When you went off the lights, was that launch control?
22:18No.
22:18Or was that just...
22:19No, this one didn't even flat out.
22:22That's mental, mate.
22:23No, it wasn't launch control.
22:27It wasn't.
22:28No, you said that wasn't even flat out.
22:30That is quick.
22:32That car is quick.
22:33He took it fairly well, actually.
22:38He was quite a nice guy to speak to.
22:40It makes a change, actually, for people not to argue the toss about it.
22:44So, he'll get reported, and maybe he'll slow down.
22:50That's probably some of the quickest driving I've seen in some time, I've got to admit.
22:58Mr. Not Flat Out accepted a fixed penalty notice and attended a driver retraining course.
23:03One of the RS Audis has got a Lamborghini engine.
23:10So, we're saying is, I got up with a Lamborghini today.
23:12You did.
23:13You did.
23:13Well done.
23:14Well done, dude.
23:14I got up with a Lamborghini.
23:15It's my 330 diesel BMW.
23:18We chugged along beyond that.
23:25So, to grab him.
23:26Coming up.
23:27Grab him.
23:27Grab him, grab him, grab him, grab him, grab him.
23:30Op Reviver on the lookout for dodgy deals.
23:32Oh, I think I like the ultrasound tool.
23:36And.
23:38He's out, he's out.
23:39A van load of suspects.
23:42And weapons.
23:44You got the instrument waving there.
24:00It's the dead of night.
24:02Out of reports of an attempted burglary in Kettering, interceptors are trying to stop a van seen leaving the area.
24:18Grab, grab that on the round out.
24:21It's Recip, Recip.
24:22London Road back in towards town.
24:25Speed, 5-0, wrist level to low.
24:31The suspected getaway driver is ignoring the blue lights, as well as the red lights.
24:38Through the red ATS, behind wrist, back down to the low.
24:41It didn't close that up.
24:42We've got left, left, left, holding Green Road.
24:46It's actually Moorfield Avenue.
24:49Putting the brakes on this van driver could call for tactics like a stinger or a box.
24:53Once again, Harrison is on route as backup, alongside crewmate Emerson.
25:02It was Austin as well, wasn't it, I think they said.
25:04Yeah.
25:05It's a wide T-junction in the new bit.
25:07But a few miles away...
25:10Left, left, left, at the fire station, stand by.
25:15Sorry, I'm doing huge, sir. We've blocked him.
25:19It looks like the van driver has realised he's already running out of road.
25:25Right, right, right, hostage, wait. Deadhead, stand by.
25:28The cops don't know how many suspected burglars are in the van, or whether they're armed and dangerous.
25:38Get the drugs done.
25:39Yeah.
25:41Reaching a dead end, they're about to find out.
25:45He's out, he's out.
25:45I think it's not a unit, but it's not good.
25:50You're in the same boat, man!
25:52Do not move, mate. You're under arrest.
26:04Taser the gold on one.
26:08Six suspected burglars bail out.
26:12One's tasered.
26:14One's tackled.
26:18And as more units descend on the scene...
26:22One out, Sandy.
26:23Five out of six are nicked in no time.
26:33Has he been searched?
26:34No?
26:35Come on, if you want to come over here.
26:37Actually, make that a full house.
26:41Stay there.
26:43A police dog has sniffed out the final sixth suspect.
26:47And Harrison gets the pleasure of locking him up.
26:50Turn around.
26:52Put your hands in the small of your back, all right?
26:54There's a dog there.
26:55Police us with a taser.
26:56Don't make any some movements.
26:58Don't be detained you for any rest of the minute.
26:59For the interceptors who pursued the van, Nick and Lloyd, it was the right place, right time.
27:17Stab vest, machetes, probials.
27:20Just glad I didn't come out waving them.
27:21Especially given what they're seizing from the alleged burglar-mobile.
27:27See that?
27:28It's a big old bitch.
27:29Glad I didn't come out waving that too, right?
27:35Very scary.
27:38Luckily, there aren't any serious injuries.
27:40Although Nick's rugby tackle has left its mark.
27:44You need to clean that up, bud.
27:45Yeah.
27:46Basically, we'll get a second.
27:46All six burglary suspects are going to be taken in for questioning.
27:55Across town...
27:57Police, police.
28:00Cops are searching the house targeted in the attempted burglary.
28:05Just be careful, because I might put some traps and stuff.
28:09I might not do that.
28:11Police.
28:12Whoever was inside the van was potentially heavily tooled up for a reason.
28:22This is a cannabis factory.
28:25This is...
28:26Mate, that is nuts.
28:32So many plants, aren't there?
28:33Yeah.
28:33You'll issue three...
28:35Three rooms full of it.
28:36Like at custody, Harrison has a theory on the night's events.
28:44Officers have gone to the address.
28:45They've tried to burgle it.
28:46It's a confirmed cannabis factory.
28:48So, clearly, they've turned up with machetes.
28:52Fully intending to rob said factory.
28:54We're six up in a van.
28:55Probably harvest the cannabis as well.
28:57So, fair play to Nick and Lloyd, who pursued it,
29:01and somehow managed to entertain five at the scene.
29:04Can't big him up too much.
29:05He's trying to subtly walk past the camera.
29:08But it's a little...
29:09A good little job.
29:14Police were unable to prove who was driving or who owned the weapons.
29:18No legal action was taken for the attempted burglary.
29:23Two of the men were in possession of cannabis.
29:25One received a caution and the other a community resolution order.
29:29And around 90 cannabis plants, two machetes and a crowbar
29:34were seized and destroyed.
29:45Operation Revive was set up to tackle gang-related activity
29:49like violence and drug crime across Northamptonshire.
29:53That's it. One more.
29:54There you go.
29:55There you go.
29:55Police!
29:56Police!
29:57Police!
29:58Police!
29:58Police!
29:58Police!
29:59They're a proactive, intelligence-led unit
30:04who know where to look.
30:06Got it.
30:07That's what's been recovered already.
30:09And can spot dodgy behaviour at Miloff.
30:12Yeah, they're dealing, they're dealing.
30:14We're going.
30:15I see one towards Harrigan Road.
30:18A tactic they frequently use to get results
30:20is a stop and search.
30:22Go, go, go.
30:23He's running back down towards you.
30:26Police!
30:26Police!
30:26Police!
30:26Police!
30:27Police!
30:28Mate, can you miss these drugs out?
30:30The difference is we're not in response.
30:32You won't always see us working.
30:34We're doing all this stuff behind the scenes.
30:36We're out on late shifts, out at night on foot,
30:39in plain clothes, and we're trying to take these people off the streets.
30:42The more drug dealers, the more people are willing to carry knives,
30:45the more of them that we arrest,
30:47going to have a greater impact on, you know,
30:49stability and safety and safety in Wellingborough.
30:57On a late shift and scanning the streets of Wellingborough in an unmarked car
31:01are Connor Shorten and, in the driving seat,
31:04Sam Walton.
31:05There's a lot going on around here, isn't there?
31:12This is the place to be today.
31:15At the minute, we're in the castle area of Wellingborough
31:18and there is loads of users and potential drug dealers
31:25all going around at the same time.
31:26We've got quite a few dodgy cars that we're trying to keep an eye on
31:30and, at the minute, it's trying to work out who to focus on.
31:36Ob Revive are so finely tuned to spotting dodgy dealings,
31:40they've practically got eyes in the back of their head.
31:44Oh, I'm getting co-evives.
31:49In the rear-view mirror...
31:52Oh, aye.
31:52Eagle-eyed Sam is focusing on someone in a grey car behind them
31:58and spins round for another look.
32:01There we go, then.
32:03He's just done a deal to the guy in the red hat.
32:05Just done a deal to the guy in the red hat.
32:08Oh, he's getting out.
32:09He's getting out.
32:11Grab him. Grab him. Grab him, grab him, grab him, grab him.
32:15If he is dealing from his car, it's not happening on Op Revive's watch.
32:20Anyway, stay there.
32:22We'll be here to tell you for public search in Section 23 of the Misuse of Drugs Act.
32:25Do you understand?
32:26Yeah, of course, yeah.
32:27Do you have your hand up?
32:28Yeah, right, mate.
32:29So, the grounds of my search...
32:30Must be your keys.
32:31...is that we have just witnessed what is potentially going to be a drug deal
32:34between you and the person in the red hat there, OK?
32:35So, we're going to be searching yourself and your vehicle for anything related to drugs,
32:38be that drugs, money, cars, anything like that, OK?
32:41Yeah.
32:42Northamptonshire Police carried out over 4,500 stop and searches last year.
32:48Is there going to be anything in the car that we need to know about?
32:50No.
32:50No?
32:51Any drugs?
32:52No?
32:53No.
32:53The tactic doesn't always get results.
32:56Come on then, go up to the car.
32:57Take a seat for us.
32:59But Connor quickly discovers this drug stop is bang on the money.
33:03We've got white in his wallet.
33:04Oh, he said he didn't have anything.
33:06He said he didn't have anything.
33:07Sit in there for us.
33:08Take a seat in a minute.
33:09All right, with cocaine or amphetamine.
33:16But at the minute, that's not a huge amount just to go off on its own.
33:20So, we'll see what else is in the vehicle.
33:25Former car sales executive Connor is into snowboarding and catching drug dealers.
33:30It looks like today's suspect is on a slippery slope himself.
33:38Connor.
33:40Oh, OK.
33:41Especially given what Sam is finding in his motor.
33:46We also had that in the driver's door as well.
33:50Phone's going off like mad.
33:53You can never have too many bags, can you?
33:56You're a balaclava.
34:00Another hammer.
34:01I understand what you're saying, sir, but we disagree with it.
34:07So, obviously, we've already found drugs.
34:09Why are you asking me the questions?
34:11Why am I asking you questions?
34:13Because I think you're a drug dealer.
34:14I think you're wrong.
34:16OK.
34:16Nice.
34:18Well, we'll get to the bottom a bit, won't we?
34:20Of course.
34:21Sam and Connor compare notes.
34:25So, a hammer in the door pocket.
34:28That was in the door pocket.
34:29That was also...
34:31That was in the boot.
34:32Yeah.
34:32That was also in the door pocket.
34:34OK.
34:36You see what?
34:36Have you got a bit of white?
34:37Yeah.
34:38After what we've seen...
34:40Yeah.
34:40..and the cash and that, let's bring him in.
34:43All right, mate.
34:44At this moment in time, you're going to be here under arrest
34:46for possession with intensively Class A drugs
34:49and also possession of offensive weapons and a bladed article.
34:52OK, so you do not understand anything,
34:53but may harm your defence if you do not mention when questioned,
34:55something which you later were on the court.
34:56Stopping searches for drugs
34:58led to over 60,000 arrests in England and Wales last year.
35:02Just going to do your waist on, all right?
35:04And over the last five years,
35:06at least 40,000 weapons have been seized
35:09in stop and searches across the UK.
35:12Well, they have Stanley knives,
35:13based on where they've been.
35:16He's not a workman,
35:17so there's no reason why he should have them there
35:18other than the succulents, I imagine.
35:20After a fleeting glimpse in their rear-view mirror,
35:25Op Revive are seizing weapons,
35:27suspected Class A drugs
35:29and delivering a suspected dealer to custody.
35:33If you face that way for me,
35:34just place your arms up just so I can search.
35:36Make sure there's nothing here.
35:37You're sensitive, though.
35:39You're sensitive?
35:40Yeah.
35:40Ticklish.
35:40You're not being sensitive.
35:42He might feel even more sensitive
35:47when he learns where Conor and Sam
35:49will be searching next.
35:51The plan now is we'll go to the home address,
35:54find out what's in there.
35:55We're probably expecting another stash,
35:56so a large quantity of drugs.
35:59As darkness falls...
36:01Upstairs lights on.
36:06They're at his home address.
36:0722-22.
36:10Yep.
36:11Once they get the OK from Control...
36:13Cheers, boss.
36:14Thank you for that.
36:14Cheers.
36:15Bye-bye.
36:19Finally, they get started on the property search.
36:31So far, there's no big stash like they were expecting.
36:37That is until Conor uncovers a tightly wrapped bag under the bed.
36:55I don't know if we're onto something here.
36:58Huh?
36:59Oh, I think I'd like to be onto something.
37:04Hi, Em.
37:06Yeah?
37:06What have we got?
37:07White or green?
37:10We'll break the bag.
37:12Two large bags of cannabis.
37:15It's a substantial find.
37:18I'm going to guess half a kilo.
37:20We've got scales here as well, mate, then.
37:25That will need to be put to him in an interview
37:26to obtain his account of why this is in his bedroom.
37:29Four hours after clocking a suspected dodgy deal in their mirrors,
37:41Conor and Sam have one last job to do before interviewing their catch.
37:45Back to the nick.
37:48Back to the nick.
37:51Oh, it's a lot more than I thought.
37:53For the weigh-in.
37:54That's 425 grams of cannabis in that one, which is more than I thought.
37:59And back to...
38:00And the other one is 425 grams.
38:03So it's 850 grams.
38:05The lowest amount you can sell cannabis for is generally they do, like, one gram is about
38:11£10 at, like, the lowest level.
38:13The more you buy it in bulk, the cheaper it gets.
38:16But if we were just doing it on the lowest level, it's 850 grams,
38:20you could be talking up to 8.5 grams based on all of them.
38:23Yeah, good.
38:25Get it off the streets.
38:26Following the stop, the possession of an offensive weapon was withdrawn.
38:33However, he remains under investigation on suspicion of drug dealing
38:37and possession of the drugs found in his wallet.
38:47Still to come.
38:48That's 360, mate.
38:50They're trying to stop.
38:51A loaded barber is in the hot seat.
38:54Two grand barbering.
38:55Good haircut.
38:57The best.
38:57The best.
39:18Up in Corby, an unmarked unit is pulling over a Mercedes A-Class.
39:23Allegedly seen driving at speed earlier in the night.
39:27Yeah, the vehicle's come to an actual.
39:29At first, the driver surrenders to the blues.
39:32Oh, it's making off.
39:34Vehicle's making off.
39:36He's doing a 180.
39:38And heading back along Greenough.
39:39After an unexpected Yui, he's hitting the gas in the opposite direction.
39:49Speed 60, mate.
39:50Vehicle's trying to stop.
39:51Back up is en route.
39:54And you've guessed it.
39:56It's going round the bar.
39:58Harrison is back for round three alongside the team Sarge, Richie Gibson.
40:03Speed is 6.7.
40:05In the 840.
40:07So it's ahead of us on this road, but at the other end, unfortunately, it's come out of there.
40:11At the top of the road...
40:17A second unit is waiting for the Merc driver.
40:23And this one is fully marked.
40:29Double blues and twos.
40:31But the driver is still going full steam ahead.
40:34Fast forward another minute, and he's still leading the cops through Corby.
40:44Then, all of a sudden, he decides to pull over.
40:47Vehicle station, mate.
40:48Hold on.
40:50Harrison and Richie arrive within seconds.
40:54Vehicle's secure.
40:55No damage.
40:56Steve, please stay.
40:57No damage.
40:57Disappointed.
41:01Last four.
41:02Got it, mate.
41:04Do you have a licence?
41:06I do.
41:08Are you going to tell us why you've decided not to stop?
41:10I don't know.
41:13Richie isn't buying it.
41:15I struggle to think why anyone would think that isn't a genuine police car.
41:20And even if they do, they can call the police.
41:22And they could have driven it at a sensible speed to a police station.
41:25And they've decided to drive at excess speed on a road in a soaking wet rain.
41:30And an enhanced risk to him and to the officers.
41:33And potentially other members of the public.
41:34Ready?
41:35Whenever.
41:35Deep breath.
41:36One, two, three, three, four.
41:38Keep going.
41:38Keep going.
41:39Keep going.
41:39Keep going.
41:40Harrison tests the driver for drink and drugs.
41:43Thank you very much.
41:45Keep that.
41:47Both are negative.
41:51He's got a driving licence.
41:53He's not wanted.
41:55However, there are a few items of interest in the car.
42:00You see the glass in the chair there?
42:02Yeah.
42:03Oh, he snapped it, didn't he?
42:05What's that, cling film?
42:09Yeah, money.
42:10Yeah, money.
42:10He's wrapped in cling film.
42:13Yeah.
42:13Which all aren't normal behaviour.
42:16No.
42:17Rich is a keen chess player.
42:20After two decades as an interceptor, he's usually three moves ahead with his questioning too.
42:25How much cash have you got, chap, wrapped up in the cling film?
42:32I've got £2,000.
42:33How much?
42:33£2,000.
42:34£2,000.
42:35And what's that for?
42:37It's my money.
42:38Yeah, well, how do you get it?
42:39I work.
42:40OK.
42:41And is that what you've been paid out?
42:42Because you have to tell us exactly what you've got.
42:44If not, then I can seize it under the Proceeds of Crime Act, the suspicion of money laundering,
42:47you see?
42:48It's my money.
42:48I work.
42:50OK.
42:50Yeah.
42:51What do you do?
42:51I'm a barber.
42:52A barber?
42:53Yeah.
42:53You're very short of your answers.
42:56Where are you, Barbara?
42:57In Wellenborough.
42:58In Wellenborough?
42:58Yeah.
42:59People don't normally carry around £2,000 worth of cash and then snap their phone while
43:04they're driving, do they?
43:05I didn't snap my phone.
43:06They're at a stalemate.
43:08Not the normal behaviour of somebody, is it?
43:11After failing to stop for police.
43:13I stopped.
43:14You didn't stop saying it away, fella, did you?
43:16I didn't know it was the police.
43:18What bit about the police car confused you?
43:20The minted midnight barber could well be telling the truth about the money.
43:27Two grand barbering.
43:28Good haircut.
43:30The best.
43:31The best.
43:34But his harebrained antics on the road have raised serious suspicions for the interceptors.
43:38I'm arresting you for suspicion of being involved in expressive money laundering.
43:45The vehicle will be seized for use in crime.
43:47He will be taken to custody, given a full search.
43:49To get him stopped and safely arrested is a winner for us.
43:52And he'll have to answer some questions on why he decided to drive like that.
43:55So, yeah, it's a good result around, really.
43:57The barber received no further action for possession of the cash.
44:04However, he was convicted of driving without due care and attention and failing to stop.
44:10His driving licence was given the chop for six months, and he had to pay £2,025 in fines and costs.
44:20And Harrison paid a heavy price, too.
44:23Pringles have spilled, haven't they?
44:25My healthy, balanced diet.
44:26Oh, bless him.
44:29So disappointing.
44:30I know we're well expensive.
44:32Three quid from our last.
44:33Oh, very frustrating.
44:35Never mind.
44:37You win some, you lose some.
44:47As chairman, I pass over the raise to my son, Joe.
44:51The firm will go to the dogs with him in charge.
44:54Your succession is about to be challenged.
44:56Do I need to stoop to scheming?
44:58You can leave all that to me.
45:01Yes, from the makers of Poldark, brand new five-original drama, The Foresights starts in just a few minutes.
45:08Orbella, I'll see you next week.
45:11Have a 될 tea from the world on this.
45:17And for a minute, our club proves over the old free e- diyorsun.
45:19With
45:26You can't have to change the law.
45:26You can leave every time.
45:27You can't hold the title with your superstition.
45:29Keep your twist.
45:30You can tell us in the show.
45:31Let it go.
45:31This is the best way we're here.
45:32Polish science notebook.
45:33Such i don't know we're here.
45:33We're going to give us a chance.
45:34What yes?
45:35You can't see.
45:35I'm going to see you.
