Kpop boyband P1Harmony took over LA last week! We got to talk with them about their favorite LA activities, the Most Wanted Tour & their solo stages and debuting at No.9 on the Billboard 200 with their EP ‘EX’ for the first time thanks to their P1eces.

00:00What's up folks, it's the P1 Harmony Takeover and I was lucky enough to be along for the ride.
00:05From Universal Studios to the Intuit Dome to Manhattan Beach, the P1 Harmony Boys were
00:10all over SoCal. It was crazy. We met with the P1 Harmony Boys backstage at their Universal
00:16pop-up show where they were really excited that their EP X debuted on Billboard 200 at number 9.
00:24I know, you see, somehow the world's gonna change for me and be so wonderful.
00:38I think we live, sorry I keep saying I think a lot, but I'm thinking.
00:44P1 Harmony took over Los Angeles, we talked to the boys backstage at their City Walk pop-up concert,
00:49then got to see the show at the Intuit Dome and we take you there and billboard all access.
00:54LA is feel like kind of our second home. It's, you know, we've been to a lot and I feel like we've
01:00grown up so much. Like we started our first show in state. It's in like, it's nearby a soccer stadium
01:09and there's just a free show for just random peoples. But we've grown up so much and we're
01:15going to perform at Intuit Dome. That's crazy. Actually, the, you know, we're doing a little
01:20thing at City Walk at the end of COVID. Our first ever show was in LA for free too. So it's going to
01:28kind of take us back. It's going to feel a little nostalgic. So we're really, really excited to be here at City Walk.
01:32West Hollywood. We love West Hollywood. Melrose, like Silver Lake. We love Silver Lake. A lot of good
01:58vintage and like cafes and stuff like that. Oh yeah. I like Melrose too. Actually, uh, yesterday I've been
02:04the kind of dance studio. It's called Playground. Yeah. And I have so much time in so much great time in
02:10there. So it's so very interesting. It was a very good experience and we can't miss out on the beaches.
02:25We all really love, um, I mean, Jongsep and I, we just went to Manhattan beach last night. So that was very beautiful.
02:31We love Malibu. We love, um, all of the beaches. Yes.
02:36I know you see somehow the world's going to change for me and be so wonderful.
02:53Live life, be there. I watched, I watched every episode of iCarly growing up. Seriously. I didn't have, um, cable growing up, so I couldn't watch it. But, um, when I got a little older, I think when I was like in middle school, um,
03:04when I was like in middle school, um, it was on Netflix for quite a bit. So I watched every,
03:09I've been watched the whole show. So yeah, I, we love iCarly.
03:13Fur head.
03:21Fur hats. I would say like the very big and thick sunglasses, like the sunglasses that are like super
03:27huge. I love those. Maybe like tracksuits too. I mean, comfortable is a new inn, I feel. I mean,
03:35none of us look very comfortable right now, but the tracksuits, definitely the tracksuits and the chains.
03:41So, Tio says this is our first time doing a full arena tour. So that also means really great production and, you know, a lot of extravagant, you know, things that we can do on stage.
03:57So for this tour, you can definitely expect a lot of cool, you know, LEDs and lights and, you know, all of the, all of the above.
04:01Wait, before we head to the Intuit Dome, let's take a quick rewind to a year ago,
04:05where Tetris was talking to the P1 Harmony boys right after that Utopia tour. Look at how they're growing up. They so big now.

04:46Yep.
04:46And I got to start by saying congratulations,
04:48because you just wrapped up the Utopia tour.
04:50Yes, she did.
04:51It's all done.
04:52You came here, and now you get to relax and hang out with me.
04:54So how are you feeling now that the tour is over?
04:57I think it's, I feel like very, like,
04:59touring was going very fast.
05:01Like, we done our concert, like, 10 times.
05:05It's kind of long.
05:06It's a month and a half, but it's, I feel like, very short.
05:11But it was very fun.
05:12And I mean, you say very short,
05:13but you also hit a lot of cities
05:15in a very small amount of time.
05:16I mean, you guys started in Seoul
05:17and all over the United States.
05:19So let's talk about what you guys kind of do in cities
05:21when you're hanging out.
05:22So how has it been in Los Angeles so far?
05:23I know you need to do some shopping.
05:24Right, exactly.
05:26I think just as you said, you know,
05:28whenever we do have off days,
05:30for me personally, I love to go out.
05:32I love to be really immersed in the city I'm in.
05:35And I like to, you know, try out food
05:37and, you know, go shopping and see sights.
05:39In Miami, I remember going out by myself
05:42and going to Miami Beach and seeing the beach
05:44and having dinner by myself.
05:46And yeah, it was just-
05:47You left all of them back at the hotel?
05:49Well, I had asked, I was like,
05:50does anyone want to go out with me?
05:52And no one replied.
05:53And that usually happens all the time.
05:55So I'm like the adventurer.
05:57So I like to go out and I like to adventure on my own.
06:00I know Theo also likes to go out,
06:01but he never tells anyone he's going out.
06:03Oh, okay. He's stealthy.
06:04Yeah. He just disappears for a couple hours.
06:06And then he just comes back and he's like,
06:08yeah, I went on a speedboat and it was super fun.
06:10You should go try it out one day.
06:11I'm like, why didn't you go with me?
06:13I would have liked to jump on a speedboat.
06:14Yeah, no. Yeah.
06:15Is it easy for you to do that as an idol and being, you know,
06:19do you go places that you know
06:20maybe people won't be as busy?
06:22No, not really, because I feel like we kind of
06:24just don't expect anyone really noticing us out in public.
06:27But when we do, it's always the nicest people ever.
06:30Like our fans are so nice and respectful.
06:32So they just come by and they say,
06:33hi, like, we love you.
06:34Like, can we get your signature?
06:35And we're so down to get signatures out.
06:37So yeah, we love seeing our fans out in the wild.
06:39I remember in Nashville, we went shopping at a shopping mall
06:43and we saw like five, six different people
06:46at the mall that knew who we were.
06:48And they were wearing like our merch and everything.
06:50And it was like so sweet to see.
06:52And yeah, like they're all super nice and respectful.
06:56So, you know, we don't purposely try to hide.
06:59Right.
06:59We try to enjoy while we're there.
07:01And then how was being in Toronto?
07:02Because Kehoe, you're from Toronto.
07:04Right.
07:04So in Toronto, I want to feel your heartbeat tonight.
07:06Did everybody go out there?
07:07Did you get to show them some special things?
07:09Because I left Toronto at such a young age,
07:11for me as well, Toronto is very new.
07:13So there's still a lot of stuff that I haven't got to explore.
07:16With the members, I remember we went to the Toronto Islands.
07:20So there's islands in Toronto.
07:21I don't think I even knew that.
07:22Yeah.
07:23You have to take a ferry out into the islands.
07:25Wow.
07:25Yeah, I didn't know either.
07:27Well, now I got to do that when I go to town.
07:29So we went out and then we saw like the islands.
07:31And it was kind of spooky because it was at night and there was no lights at all.
07:34So it was pitch dark and we were like exploring this island together.
07:37Yeah, it was really fun.
07:37You know, I got to see my friends and family.
07:39And it's always like a cool full circle moment when I come back to Toronto.
07:43It's like, wow, like this is where I grew up in.
07:45And now I'm able to come back as a completely new and different person.
07:48And being able to perform there in front of my friends and family.
07:51It's such a humbling experience.
07:53Now that it's all done, you said it was really quick, but you got to be a little tired maybe.
07:57So what are you looking forward to once you get back to Seoul?
08:00I think you said your flight's tomorrow.
08:01Right, it is.
08:02So when you get back to Seoul, what are you most looking forward to?
08:05Well, we have a lot of festivals.
08:07Yeah.
08:07And we're always preparing the new album work, new songs, new performances.
08:13Or we can make a content for our fans, like a variety show or whatever like fans want.
08:22So now we should prepare some things like.
08:27Yeah.
08:27We're definitely going to be talking about music and content.
08:29We'll get to that.
08:30But you actually talked about festivals, which is something I want to touch on.
08:33Gov Ball.
08:33Right.
08:34I mean, you guys killed it at Gov Ball.
08:36But what was also really cool was you watched everybody else too.
08:39You guys spent time going to the festival.
08:41So how was it to attend the music festival and see all the different talents?
08:44I just want to say it's so honored.
08:48Because it's always a hard place to experience new artists and experience new artists.
09:03It's not an opportunity that we get all the time to be able to see artists that we love and
09:07we enjoy listening to on a daily basis and be able to see them live has been
09:11such a moment of inspiration and also just a moment to really appreciate music altogether.
09:16Because like you said, you know, performing there is one thing, but also being a part of
09:20the audience and being able to really go back to your roots and really appreciate music in itself.
09:24Not as a performer, but as just someone who loves music is something that was really honorable for Yintang.
09:29Yeah.
09:29And what would you say was one of the sets that you felt inspired by?
09:32Definitely, I like Don't Toliver.
09:34Oh, yeah.
09:35And Susan's stage was so good too.
09:39There's a lot of sets in there.
09:42I was so surprised there.
09:49I was so surprised that all artists' performances were more excited than I thought about it.
09:54I was so glad to be able to enjoy it as an artist, not an artist, but I was so glad to be able to enjoy it.
10:00Literally, the actual set in itself was also super cool.
10:02Like, Don Toliver had two huge floaties on his set
10:07and, like, motorcycles.
10:08And SZA had a whole boat on set with the screens.
10:11And he said it was just so much more than he expected.
10:13So it was really fun for him to see.
10:15So you guys are going to be at KCON again.
10:16Yeah, right.
10:17How exciting is that?
10:18It's one of my favorite festivals every year.
10:19Really?
10:20It's so much fun.
10:21So how is it going to be to do it?
10:22Is this your second or third time?
10:23I think second.
10:24Yeah, maybe.
10:25So KCON, there's, like, a whole bunch all around the world.
10:27There's Japan and, like, there's LA and, like, a whole bunch of places.
10:30Yeah.
10:31For LA, I think this is our second time.
10:33And, you know, they do it at the Crypto Arena.
10:35And the way they set the stage up is, like, 360 audience.
10:39And then the stage is, like, in the middle.
10:41And it's always so cool to perform because, like, you can see everyone everywhere.
10:45And I remember the first time we went in, we had a lot of fun.
10:48So we're really looking forward to coming again and also just coming back
10:52as even more refined and better artists than before.
10:56And being able to show the audience, you know, how much we improved.
10:59And also, you know, we sold out the Kia Forum a couple nights ago.
11:02And being able to, you know, come back to LA with more confidence that we have.
11:07Our fans are going to be there to see us once again.
11:10We're super, super excited to put on an amazing show.
11:12And hopefully a lot of people come.
11:13We also talked to the guys at KCON back in May.
11:16We run into them a lot.
11:18I'm cool with that.

12:42It's really crazy because I feel like every city, every country has a different vibe and
12:48it has a different energy.
12:50And that's why we personally love touring for that reason because it's so diverse, especially
12:54when you come to America, especially when you come to LA, there's just so many different
12:57people that you can see in the crowd and they're all giving out different energies
13:01and vibes and it's more crazy because they can also sing along to all of our words, even
13:05though Korean is not native to them, right?
13:07Definitely.
13:08And so, you know, it's such an honor to be here.
13:10And like Ji-yoon said, we can't wait to come back even after KCON for, you know, our headlining
13:15show in October.

15:17So, we are trying to put a few songs in the set list, so I can't wait to perform in front of our LA pieces.
15:25Our English EPX, did you guys like that album?
15:34You know, I don't know why I asked that question, because that album hit number 9 on Billboard 200.
15:45None of us were really expecting it, and it was just something that, you know, we're so very grateful for.
15:50We've been slowly, you know, with our debuts, we've been slowly kind of climbing the charts, but being in the top 10 was our very first time.
15:57So, it's just unbelievable, and you know, growing up listening to the same chart, and being able to chart on that same chart is something so phenomenal.
16:05And so, I think it's really only up from here, and we can't wait to see what the next album will bring us, and how we can continue that trajectory.
16:11We were at the car, the first time we heard of it, and I was like, it was unbelievable.
16:17And we were talking about like, guys, this is insane. This is insane. Incredible.
16:23And I'm not gonna lie, we were low-key like, well, personally for me, I was trying to avoid looking at the chart just because I didn't want to like, you know, expect anything.
16:33But I was a little bit, I was anticipating it just a little bit. But when we heard the news, it was, we were like, what?
16:39Yeah, it was just, it was just a really crazy surreal moment. Yeah.
16:49With a two and a half hour long set, P1 Harmony and their pieces really put in the work.
16:54We loved celebrating their Billboard 200 debut of X with the perfect encore to close out the night.

24:17and staying on repeat or with Tame Impala's new music be a moment we're
24:21giving you the rundown on some of the contenders on this week's hot 100 this
24:25Maui Wowie trend is taking over the internet will the song make its debut on the
24:29charts 17 years after it first was released
24:32Kid Cudi's Maui Wowie which debuts this week in the 70s really blowing up on
24:43tick-tock this is a song from 2008 by the way so it's our first time actually
24:46seeing Kid Cudi on the hot 100 in a lead role since 2020 so welcome back to the
24:51chart Cudi but this trend's going crazy this song is blowing up so that's something
24:54to watch out for is the streams keep going up that song could really be a big
24:57hit for it but it's so easy to fall in love with Olivia Dean that we may see her climb
25:07based off of my streams alone that one is going to have an uptick on the charts
25:17everyone is excited about Olivia Dean's the art of loving she has this ability
25:21with the way that she arranges her melodies her vocals everyone is excited
25:25myself included Tame Impala may have been your favorite artist favorite artist
25:29but could Dracula make his way to the mainstream since it's hot 100 debut
25:39Dracula debuted on the hot 100 a few weeks ago and it became Tame Impala's first
25:43ever chart entry and it's only gotten bigger and bigger from here really is
25:47broken out as a standout from his new album Deadbeat which just came out on
25:50Friday it's been getting a lot of radio airplay on various different rock formats
25:54I think we've only seen just beginning of how big it's going to be what contenders
