00:00But again, I know that there are some of you out there
00:03who still don't understand the most unbiased man
00:05in the history of sports media.
00:06So take it from the biggest Eagles backer actually on the desk,
00:10which is my good buddy, Joe Lisi.
00:12Yeah, Billy Club special.
00:14That's what I expected against the New York Giants
00:16and the defense came to play.
00:17And I know some questionable calls in the matchup,
00:20but there was no answer for Philly's offense
00:23from the defense of the New York Giants.
00:25They were a beaten down football team
00:27based off the loss to Denver the week prior.
00:29They allowed 33 points and a monumental loss.
00:33And again, you know, they moved the football early.
00:36They were down 14-7.
00:37You have the emotional loss of Cam Scadaboo.
00:40But Jalen Hurts in that offense stepped up yet again.
00:43We saw now the rushing attack minus Cam Juergens
00:46in the offensive line all of a sudden come to life.
00:49Dallas Goddard took over from A.J. Brown, two touchdowns.
00:53I mean, what more?
00:54It was a complete effort offensively and defensively.
00:58And anybody suggesting that Philadelphia, you know,
01:01wasn't the team to beat just because they lost to the New York Giants.
01:05Again, expecting a team to go 17-0 in the regular season
01:08is just not going to happen in today's NFL.
01:11But this is still the most complete team that we see on paper.
01:14When the chips are in the middle of the table and we're not talking November,
01:19we're talking January and potentially February,
01:23Jalen Hurts and the Eagles are getting my money.
01:25Yeah, I think the reality for Philadelphia is in that game,
01:30they put on display the best version of themselves.
01:34It was a four-quarter effort.
01:35It's when Saquon Barkley has it going.
01:38First carry of the game, 65-yard touchdown,
01:40and it continued that way.
01:43Saquon kept running well, though did get banged up on his final carry.
01:46So then they just handed it over to Tank Bigsby,
01:48who ended up finishing the game with nine carries for 104 yards
01:51and actually a higher yards per carry in the matchup, amazingly, than Saquon.
01:57And for Philadelphia, you know, the defense did enough.
02:00They started to get after Jackson Dart.
02:03But, Joe, I think the story,
02:05the story can't be Jalen Hurts only when it's bad.
02:08Jalen Hurts is right now playing like arguably the best quarterback in football.
02:14Since week number three, nobody has more passing touchdowns.
02:18So, surprise, surprise, nobody has more total touchdowns.
02:20In fact, on the year, no one has more total touchdowns.
02:23He has one interception.
02:26Since week three began, he has the second-best passer rating in football,
02:31only behind Drake May.
02:33He has been dominant.
02:36And a lot of people felt that, well, it's all the setup.
02:41It's all the situation.
02:42Under the radar, the Cam Juergens injury,
02:45but also, you know, massively understood was no A.J. Brown.
02:49No problem.
02:51The balance of Smith ate well.
02:53Hurts continue to dominate.
02:55Again, you know, to me, Joe, you go through the league's MVP right now,
03:03Jalen Hurts is a clear-cut top-five candidate,
03:08if not arguably the correct answer to that award.
03:14Yeah.
03:14I mean, and he's doing it with his arm.
03:16You can't complain that he's a running quarterback this year
03:19because his running totals are significantly down,
03:21and everything is a dominant performance through the year.
03:24Look at the matchup against Minnesota.
03:26283 hits Devontae Smith, hits A.J. Brown.
03:29And what goes unnoticed, too,
03:32is when we've seen two critical third downs in big games,
03:36the Minnesota game where he completes the big play,
03:39and I believe it was, I think it was the Ram game.
03:44Yeah.
03:44One of the two where he, I have to look,
03:46but he just makes plays that just, you say that's the guy.
03:51If it was Mahomes, they'd be like, oh, my God, Mahomes.
03:53I mean, here's my thing, and gosh, I hate to, I do hate to do it,
03:57but, like, there isn't a stat you can find
04:01that says Baker Mayfield is having a better season.
04:05There isn't one.
04:06There's just not.
04:07I'm sorry.
04:08Baker's fell off in back-to-back weeks.
04:10Jared Goff, again, give your head a shake.
04:12That's not, he's not a real candidate.
04:14He's not.
04:15Daniel Jones and Jonathan Taylor with shorter odds than him.
04:19That's la-la land.
04:19We'll get into the cults, and I'm going to say a lot of good things about Indianapolis.
04:23The MVP market, though, is not where that team is going to live.
04:27It's just not.
04:28I mean, it's where things are.
04:31And, again, if places want to spend countless segments and hours debating
04:37if Jalen Hurts is holding Philadelphia back, can they win with Jalen Hurts,
04:41despite being the reigning Super Bowl MVP,
04:43then make sure you give him his due.
04:44I'm going to say a lot of good things about Jalen Hurts.
04:50I'm going to say a lot of good things about Jalen Hurts.
04:52I'm going to say a lot of good things about Jalen Hurts.
04:54I'm going to say a lot of good things about Jalen Hurts.
04:56I'm going to say a lot of good things about Jalen Hurts.
04:58I'm going to say a lot of good things about Jalen Hurts.
05:00I'm going to say a lot of good things about Jalen Hurts.
05:02I'm going to say a lot of good things about Jalen Hurts.
05:04I'm going to say a lot of good things about Jalen Hurts.
05:06I'm going to say a lot of good things about Jalen Hurts.
05:08I'm going to say a lot of good things about Jalen Hurts.
05:10I'm going to say a lot of good things about Jalen Hurts.
