00:00This Jets march and come back across the finish line and gave them their first win of the season.
00:06And Jets and Jets fans, I promise we will give you your due.
00:10But it's important to start with Cincinnati for this reason, Joe.
00:13They entered into this weekend with a real chance in the division.
00:20At 3-4, a win would have made them 4-4.
00:23And we haven't talked Pittsburgh yet, but we will.
00:25But, you know, London is falling, if you will, in the Pittsburgh Steelers building,
00:30who are now a 4-3 football team, who in their next few games are going to be booked as a dog in both
00:37before seeing Cincinnati again.
00:40The Ravens, I know, get their win. It gives them life.
00:43But you still are up on Baltimore, Joe, to give you a bit of confidence.
00:49For Cincinnati, I don't think you can—they didn't have enough breathing room.
00:53Hey, listen, it's a bad loss, but it's one loss.
00:57No, no, no. You are 3-5.
01:00Your quarterback is still Joe Flacco.
01:02There are no updates on Joe Burrow.
01:04That suggests he's going to be back sooner than later, if at all.
01:08It feels to me, and you can tell me if I am overreacting,
01:12that Cincinnati's playoff hopes died on that Justin Fields comeback.
01:16Well, yes, to a degree.
01:18I think, again, they still have a pulse because, again, they still have Jamar Chase,
01:23Tee Higgins, and a competent quarterback.
01:25And it wasn't Flacco's fault.
01:27For the most part, he throws through 244, two touchdowns.
01:30Chase with 91 receiving yards.
01:32It's a defense, Kev.
01:34I mean, they gave up over 450 total yards to the Jets.
01:37I mean, Justin Fields had one of his better performances, 240-plus through the air.
01:42The Jets rushed for seven yards per carry, basically, over 200 yards.
01:47I mean, come on.
01:48I mean, this defense is atrocious.
01:50We knew that they were bad coming in.
01:53And, again, unless they outscored teams, no lead is safe.
01:56And what would they have, 17-3, 24-13 lead in the second half,
02:02and they lose it 39-38?
02:04I mean, I will say the Jets have played some wild games.
02:07I mean, it's almost like a college team.
02:10They couldn't make these second-half comebacks, like, out of nowhere.
02:14I mean, Joe, the score was 31-16 in the fourth quarter.
02:19It was 38-24 with 10 minutes to go.
02:24Quickly, for those of you who still wonder, why do teams go for two
02:27and they're down 14 on full display as it, you know, gets the Jets this win,
02:33what is remarkable to your it's-not-on-Joe-Flacco point, which is fair,
02:37after still being down one, seven-yard pass, 12-yard run,
02:43a minute remaining in the game.
02:44They're at their own 44.
02:46It's like, well, they're going to get a field goal kickoff, obviously.
02:48McPherson's pretty good.
02:50They picked up one more yard.
02:52Incomplete one-yard run, incomplete, incomplete.
02:55It was insane to me that they could not then pick up another first down
03:01against, let's be clear, a miserable Jets defense.
03:03But you see that happen all – we see it in the college game, Ole Miss, Georgia.
03:07Oh, yeah.
03:07Going up and down the field, the final drive, they're down eight.
03:10The kid can't convert a third down.
03:12I mean, it just –
03:13It does happen.
03:13It gets – it creeps into your psyche, I think.
03:16You know, from a team perspective, you're leading the whole game.
03:18We're dominating.
03:19We're on life support now.
03:21We've got to make a play now.
03:22Right.
03:23We dominated for 58 minutes.
03:25I think that's the mindset that goes into some of these games as they play out.
03:29And, you know, credit Aaron Glenn, credit the Jets.
03:32They made some plays.
03:34They do have some nice playmakers.
03:36But, again, this was a game Cincinnati could have gotten back to 500.
03:40Yes.
03:41And a game that they should win.
03:43Yes.
03:44Against a dead football team.
03:46And we're winning.
03:47Right.
03:48Massively.
03:48Talking about a team that hasn't won a game.
03:50I know.
03:51I know.
03:51And they couldn't knock them out.
03:53This was like, give them the standing eight.
03:55How many standing eights did Aaron Glenn and the Jets have?
03:57An in-game win probability at its highest of 97.5 for Cincinnati turns into a loss.
04:05And I know Trey Hendrickson injured in this game.
04:08It's unacceptable for the Bengals defense to go from really, really, really bad to absolutely
04:13lifeless just because one player is out.
04:15But it's how they built the roster.
04:16And it's just how everybody is playing.
04:18But, again, it does feel for me like a done football team.
04:22I really, really believe that.
04:24Unless you promise that Joe Burrow will be back at basically the minimum.
04:33Where, you know, they're like, ah, he's going to miss three months.
04:35Like, hey, he is back actually on the 14th against Baltimore.
04:38Four games.
04:39I can't see it for Cincy.
04:41I can see.
