Whether they are breaking the mold or setting the sparkle, women aren’t just wearing jewelry, they’re shaping the trends behind it—and have been doing so since, literally, the beginning of time. In this video, we sat down with Pandora’s chief marketing officer, Berta de Pablos-Barbier, to talk about how women of today aren’t too different from the past, which was fully the inspiration for the brand’s new Pandora Talisman collection, allowing jewelry lovers to tell their stories with their accessories.

00:00One of the first styles of jewelry was actually coins. They were used by the people that wore them
00:05as a symbol of protection or a symbol of status, a symbol of religion, and everything that we do
00:12have to be object of desire. So something I love about the brand is that storytelling piece,
00:17the talisman collection, which I am wearing. Yeah, we are both wearing. That feels like the
00:22latest kind of moment in storytelling. Can you tell us a little bit about how the talisman
00:27collection came to be? What we did actually was Filippo and Francesco, our designers, they went
00:32back into the origin of jewelry. One of the first styles of jewelry was actually coins. They had
00:38from the very origin a very deep meaning. But how can we reinterpret that in a very modern way
00:44in something that women of today were wanted to wear? I think people come to Pandora because they
00:50know they are going to find something that is going to allow them to tell their story. We continue to
00:54be true to who we are, which is basically accessible, but also bringing jewelry with a lot of meaning
00:59and a strong emotional connection. But it's exactly that. It's just making sure something
01:03that is true to who you are and then you wear it as a talisman. Yeah, that's why I like this
01:08collection so much.
