00:00I saw a few of our colleagues, the locomotive engineers, on the picket line.
00:06I went and talked to them because I wanted them to know that I appreciate their contribution to this agency.
00:14I wanted them to know. I don't have any ill will against them.
00:20Neither does the governor and neither do any of my colleagues who are here with me.
00:25What they said to me is they just want to get back to work.
00:28And I appreciate it. And I said that my entire objective is to make sure they get back to work.
00:36And so do all the other union members so we can get our customers moving safely and efficiently again.
00:44That is my singular objective.
00:47So what you're going to see me do today after I leave here is to go back to the negotiating table
00:53and show my colleagues who are on the other side of the table the same respect I've now shown them.
01:00We're going to be calm.
01:02We're going to be mission focused.
01:03And we're going to try and get to a deal that is fair and fiscally responsible.
01:08With that, I'm happy to take any questions.
01:09Chris, a question for you.
01:12How long after the deal is strong do we expect service to basically pursue again?
01:18So for instance, if you guys come to a deal or sell them tomorrow, will service or like maybe we'll do it as well?
01:25Look, I mean, I know Jimmy Sincaglia was here, who's the head of rail ops.
01:30He and his team are working tirelessly to plan for that eventuality, whether it's tomorrow or next week.
01:40Our job here is as efficient we were in putting the railroad to bed when a strike went into place,
01:48it is to make sure we get the service back on as quickly as possible when the strike is over.
01:53However, I am, I will tell you, I know he hasn't slept, Mike Kilcoyne hasn't slept, I haven't slept,
02:01and I know the police department hasn't slept, and neither have any of the employees who are working day in, day out
02:07to make sure the service during the strike is going well and the service after the strike goes well.
