00:00French investigators are still baffled by the brazen seven-minute robbery at the Louvre.
00:05The hunt is now on for the priceless treasures and those responsible for this audacious heist.
00:10This is what we know.
00:12A truck-mounted furniture lift parked just outside the vast building, right by the River Seine.
00:18Inside the truck were two robbers, and two others joined on foot.
00:22Within minutes, the group was on the first-floor balcony, breaking through the window with disc grinders.
00:27The group had identified two display cases and went immediately to work.
00:32They took with them nine pieces of priceless jewellery.
00:35Their haul included a tiara, a sapphire necklace, and matching earrings from the collection of queens Marie-Émilie and Hortense.
00:44An emerald necklace and earrings belonging to Marie-Louise, and a tiara and a large corsage bow of Empress Eugénie.
00:52But in their haste to get out, they dropped one invaluable item, the crown of Empress Eugénie, the wife of Napoleon III.
01:00They also left behind a yellow vest with DNA traces, giving hope to investigators.
01:06Everyone is still wondering how a truck with a furniture elevator could have crept so close to one of the world's most visited museums on a Sunday without being noticed by the Louvre's security.
01:18President Emmanuel Macron said he hopes that we will recover the artworks and the perpetrators will be brought to justice.
