00:00And, you know, furthering that idea, the White House has now warned that there won't be an October CPI report either.
00:05So we have we're missing that part of the picture, in addition to the fact that we haven't had any official jobs data either.
00:12So is December a December cut less of a certainty now? You sound like you're not convinced.
00:19Yeah, I'm not convinced. Of course, I don't have a vote. So it's not me.
00:23My opinion is I don't think the case is compelling for another rate cut after this next one.
00:30It's sort of already signaled that the next one will be a cut.
00:33But, you know, as we go forward, you think about, well, what is the Fed trying to do with with lower interest rates?
00:41Right. To stimulate economic activity to help the job market.
00:46And yet what we're seeing is, you know, it's not financial financing costs.
00:53It's not interest rates that are really holding back the economy.
00:56Maybe you could argue it's holding back the housing market.
00:59But there's also a supply demand dynamic there that is at work.
01:04But you say, well, what what's the purpose of lowering interest rates here?
01:08Other than signaling that the Fed is concerned about the weakness in the job market, financial conditions, very easy.
01:16No one's having trouble accessing finance.
01:19So it's not a strong and compelling case when inflation is still elevated and nominal growth is still reasonably sturdy.
01:27So, it's not a strong and low-repercent rate.
01:28So, it's not a strong and low-repercent rate.
01:29So, it's not a strong and low-repercent rate.
01:30So, it's not a strong and low-repercent rate.
01:31So, it's not a strong and low-repercent rate.
01:32So, it's not a strong and low-repercent rate.
01:33So, it's not a strong and low-repercent rate.
01:34So, it's not a strong and low-repercent rate.
01:35So, it's not a strong and low-repercent rate.
01:36So, it's not a strong and low-repercent rate.
01:37So, it's not a strong and low-repercent rate.
01:38So, it's not a strong and low-repercent rate.
01:39So, it's not a strong and low-repercent rate.
