00:00Fans were ready to sing their hearts out with the Queen of Country this December,
00:04but Vegas will have to wait a little longer as Dolly Parton is postponing her shows for health
00:10reasons. The 79-year-old legend had six shows on the books, but announced on Instagram she's
00:18dealing with some health challenges and needs a few procedures before she can get back on stage.
00:24She wrote, I am not going to be able to rehearse and put together the show that I want you to see
00:29and the show that you deserve to see. You pay good money to see me perform and I want to be at my
00:35best for you. Then joked, it's not the usual trip to see her plastic surgeon. Her Vegas residency is
00:42now pushed back nine months, moving from December to September of next year. And while many fans are
00:49disappointed, her comments are filled with love and support, even from celebrities like Katy Perry
00:54and Hoda Kotb. Parton hasn't shared details about her current health concerns, but earlier this month
01:01she pulled out of a Dollywood event, telling fans in a video that a kidney stone had turned into an
01:07infection. And earlier this year, she suffered another personal loss, the death of her husband
01:13of 59 years. Her social media posts says all tickets will be honored for the new dates, but refunds are
01:20available for anyone who wants one. So fans have a little extra time to practice hitting those high
01:25notes before September. With Straight Arrow news, I'm Kennedy Felton. Download our app or visit san.com for more.
