Dolly Parton is breaking her silence on her health battles. The superstar performer took to Instagram to offer an update on the health challenges that caused her to cancel a planned Las Vegas residency and an appearance at the Governors Awards.

00:06Dolly Parton is breaking her silence and addressing the rumors surrounding her health battles.

00:11But I want you to know that I'm okay. I've got some problems.

00:15The superstar performer took to Instagram on Wednesday to offer an update on the health

00:18challenges that caused her to cancel a planned Las Vegas residency and an appearance at the

00:23governor's awards. The out-of-character cancellations caused the rumor mill to whip into overdrive.

00:28So Parton addressed the swirl directly by sharing a video of herself recorded today

00:33on set of a commercial shoot for the Grand Ole Opry.

00:36Back when my husband Carl was very sick, that was for a long time. And then when he passed,

00:42I didn't take care of myself. So I let a lot of things go that I should have been taken care of.

00:47Parton's husband, Carl Thomas Dean, died in March.

00:50So anyway, when I got around to it, the doctor said, we need to take care of this. We need to

00:55take care of that. She went on to say, nothing major, but I did have to cancel some things so

01:00I could be closer to home. Closer to Vanderbilt, you know, where I'm kind of having a few treatments

01:04here and there. She didn't elaborate on those treatments or the source of the health challenges,

01:08but did say that she's far from ready to give up. And I'm not ready to die yet. I don't think

01:13God is through with me and I ain't done working. So I love you for caring and keep praying for me.
