New Zealand Prime Minister Christopher Luxon has arrived at the Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre for the high level Regional Comprehensive Economic Partnership Summit and the East Asia Summit.

The two meetings are part of the 47th Asean Summit and Related Summits.

00:38It came into force in 2022 and aims to lower tariffs, boost investment and allow freer

00:47Hong Kong, Sri Lanka, Chile and Bangladesh have recently expressed interest in joining the
00:53RCEP.
00:54The East Asia Summit will involve 19 participants.
00:58They are the ASEAN Member States Australia, China, India, Japan, New Zealand, the Republic
01:02of Korea, Russia and the United States.
