The 47th Asean Summit, to be held in Kuala Lumpur from Oct 26 to 28, is shaping up to be a historic and unprecedented gathering, with leaders from all Asean member states and Timor-Leste confirming their attendance alongside representatives from around the world.
Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim told the Dewan Rakyat on Thursday (Oct 23) that the summit has drawn top-level participation from the United States, China, Japan, Russia, Europe, the Middle East, Latin America, Australia, New Zealand, and South Africa — making it one of the largest and most significant international events ever hosted by Malaysia.
