00:00The Presidential Fitness Test.
00:01Yeah, the one that made you race your classmates in sit-ups and pull-ups and push-ups while
00:05your gym teacher screamed from the sidelines?
00:07Well, guess what?
00:08It's back.
00:09On July 31st, President Trump signed an executive order reviving the test in public schools.
00:14Originally launched in the 1950s under Eisenhower, it was dropped in 2012 because critics said
00:20it was more humiliating than helpful.
00:22Now the White House says it's tackling a quote, widespread epidemic of declining health
00:26and physical fitness.
00:27The test will include push-ups, sit-ups, running, classic gym class stuff, and will
00:31be overseen by Health Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr., who's raising alarms about childhood
00:35obesity and inactivity.
00:37Trump was joined by athletes like Triple H, Bryson DeChambeau, and Annika Sorenstam, who
00:41are now part of the Presidential Council on Sports, Fitness, and Nutrition.
00:45So get ready kids, your gym class just got presidential again.
