Chinese President Xi meets leaders attending Global Leaders' Meeting on Women

00:00During his meeting with Ghanaian President John Germani Mahama, Xi said this year marks

00:10the 65th anniversary of the establishment of China-Ghana diplomatic ties.

00:16He said China is willing to enhance political mutual trust with Ghana and expand cooperation

00:20in various fields, including mining, energy, infrastructure construction, agriculture and

00:26fisheries, and helped Ghana turn its resource advantages into development momentum.

00:32President Mahama expressed hope that Ghana will strengthen cooperation with China in

00:37trade, digital economy, infrastructure construction, energy, mining and cultural and people-to-people

00:43exchanges.

00:46President Xi also held talks with his counterpart of the Commonwealth of Dominica, Savani Burton,

00:51noting that Dominica is a close friend and partner of China in the Caribbean.

00:56President Xi said China stands ready to work with Dominica to elevate bilateral relations

01:00to a higher level and deliver more benefits to both peoples.

01:04He said China stands ready to continue supporting Dominica in enhancing its capacity in climate

01:09change response and disaster prevention and reduction.

01:12He added that China is willing to strengthen cooperation with Dominica in infrastructure,

01:17clean energy, health care, agriculture and women's empowerment.

01:22President Burton said Dominica stands ready to deepen cooperation with China in economy,

01:26trade, agriculture, the green economy, new energy, health care and climate change response.

01:34In his talks with Iceland's President Hadla Thomas Dutier, President Xi called for the two sides

01:39to deepen cooperation in economy, trade, geothermal energy and medical health.

01:45He said the two countries should maintain close communication and coordination, work together to resolve

01:50international disputes through dialogues and consultations.

01:54President Thomas Dutier congratulated China on hosting the Global Leaders Meeting on Women.

01:59She added that China has demonstrated leadership in addressing global challenges, and that Iceland

02:04is ready to work with China to tackle these challenges.

02:08The two sides also issued a joint statement on further strengthening cooperation on geothermal

02:12and green energy.

02:14He also met with Mozambique's Prime Minister Maria Benvita Delphina Levy, highlighting the

02:19strength of China-Mozambique friendship despite global challenges.

02:23He said the two sides should jointly seek new pathways for the integrated and coordinated

02:27development of energy and mineral resources and infrastructure construction.

02:32Prime Minister Levy said Mozambique is willing to strengthen collaboration with China in areas

02:37including economy, trade, energy, mining and technology.

02:41He hailed China's contribution to global prosperity and stability, adding that Mozambique will enhance

02:47cooperation with China under multilateral frameworks and make global governance fairer and more

02:52equitable.

02:54While meeting with Sri Lanka Prime Minister Harini Amarathoria, Xi said China is willing to jointly

03:00promote high-quality Belt and Road cooperation with Sri Lanka and expand cooperation in fields

03:05such as port economy, modern agriculture, digital economy, green economy and tourism.

03:11He added that the two countries should strengthen cooperation in law enforcement and security,

03:16and resolutely crackdown on cross-border gambling, fraud and other criminal activities.

03:21Prime Minister Harini Amarathoria spoke highly of China's role in promoting the global women's

03:26cause.

03:27She also said Sri Lanka actively supports and participates in the high-quality Belt and Road cooperation,

03:33and is looking forward to deepening cooperation with China for fresh progress in its own development.
