00:00Getting some breaking news, TVK Chief Vijay is all set to meet the Stampede victim's kin shortly.
00:05In less than half an hour, Vijay and a victim's kin meeting to be held.
00:11Vijay reaches the five-star Mahabalipuram resort and 50 resort rooms have been booked for the victim's families
00:18who were ferried yesterday from Karoo to Mahabalipuram in special buses that were arranged by the TVK.
00:24My colleague Pramod Madhav is now joining us from the venue where the meeting will be held.
00:29Pramod, give us the latest details on Vijay and victim's families' meeting.
00:37Certainly. First and foremost, TVK has very clearly stated that this is a very, very private meeting
00:41and they have requested the media, the fans and the carers of TVK to stay away.
00:45But however, these are the arrangements that have been made over here.
00:47We are inside four points where on the main gate itself there is a lot of security personnel
00:52who have been placed to make sure that no carers or anybody comes and joins this particular area.
00:56And once you enter the spot, a second level of protection has also been placed over here.
01:00We've been asked to stay at one particular area.
01:03And what happened is that around 8 a.m. itself, Vijay has reached the spot.
01:0737 families are here presently and each and everyone have been given a separate room.
01:10It's what we've been told and we've also been said that Vijay,
01:13there is a possibility that post-time having breakfast around 9.30 a.m.
01:17The meeting would start whereby from 3 minutes to almost 15 minutes,
01:21Vijay is expected to talk to each and every family.
01:23And this is going to be a heart-to-heart talk where he's going to say what happened.
01:27He's going to ask them and he's also going to, we've been told that it's going to be like,
01:30you know, a period of mourning with Vijay because almost for,
01:33it's been a month since Vijay, this issue occurred,
01:36this unfortunate tragedy where 41 people died.
01:38But since now, like Vijay was not able to meet them,
01:41even though he constantly kept that he's going to meet them through a video message,
01:44through various letters and such, it was not possible because on one side,
01:48TVK wanted a lot of conditions on the ground for him to go from Trichy Airport to reach Karur
01:53and such things like that.
01:54But that was not possible because police or the authorities could not,
01:57we've been told that it was impractical for all those conditions to be met with.
02:01So that's the reason, finally, this particular venue has been decided.
02:04This is a four-points resort in Mahabalipuram, that is, at the outskirts of Chennai,
02:09where the families have been brought in yesterday.
02:11Two special buses were arranged.
02:12They have reached the spot and now they are going to meet Vijay in any time
02:15and they're going to talk to him.
02:17Tamiragavitchi Karagam's leader is going to talk to them
02:19and that's how the day is going to be.
02:21But TVK has placed a request for no fans or carers to come over here at the spot now.
02:26All right, Pramod, thank you for getting us those details.
02:29We'll keep coming back to you for more updates on the story.
02:31And we're currently showing you the live visuals from the resort in Mahabalipuram,
02:39where the meeting will be taking place between Vijay and the victim's family.
02:43This is the kind of arrangement that has been made over there.
02:46Media person and party members are not allowed to attend the meeting.
02:51And these are the live visuals from outside the venue.
02:54And we're getting some more breaking news.
02:57Punjab farm fires continue to rage.
03:00Despite Delhi's toxic smog, Punjab farm fires continue.
03:06122 farm fires in Punjab on Sunday alone.
03:10Delhi is dhuwa dhuwa due to the farm fires in Punjab.
03:15Remember, the air quality remains in the very poor category in the national capital region.
03:20And despite that, the farm fires in the state of Punjab continue.
03:2317 lakh penalty-owned farmers, no stopping fire.
03:28Tarantaran and Amritsar are the farm fire hotspots.
03:32Now, the question is if the Maan government has failed to douse the stubble fire.
03:37So, despite the toxic air quality in the national capital region,
03:41the Delhi, Gurugram, Noida,
03:44there's a thick layer of smog that has engulfed the NCR.
03:47Despite that, the Punjab farm fires continue to rage.
03:51My colleague Aman Bhajwaj is now joining us with more details on this.
03:54Aman, what are the actions that are being taken, if any,
03:57by the Maan government as far as the farm fires are concerned?
04:01Because on Sunday alone, 122 farm fires were reported.
04:06Yes, you see, it's a four-fold rise in the numbers from last few weeks.
04:10And till now, there are 16 lakh penalty that has been imposed,
04:1616 lakh 80,000 on stubble burning.
04:19And there are 266 FIRs that have been registered.
04:23And in 296 cases, red entries have been made in the revenue record of the farmers,
04:28which solves them for taking any loan or any revenue process if the stubble is burned.
04:36So that red entries also bars restrictions on the farmers.
04:40And there are, the AQI level in Punjab has also been dragged down due to the stubble burning.
04:47But also weather experts or the environment professors working on the study here and PGI,
04:54they also suggest that it's due to the weather change also that stubble that is burned
04:59or the pollution that is there.
05:00So in this season, when the winter is arriving, so the pollution pollutants are in the air,
05:07they remain there.
05:09The illusion or they're moving by the speed of wind, so that also stays in the environment.
05:16So that is also the reason that it contributes for the pollution.
05:19And stubble burning is also an add-on factor.
05:21Until now, Anjali, there are 743 cases of the stubble burning.
05:25But the Maan government or Punjab government, they are trying their heart to convince farmers
05:31to not burn stubble.
05:33But there are also many mechanisms, whether giving machines or giving the help that is required
05:42to the farmer, that has also been suggested by the government.
05:46But the cases that rise also raises the question that if the support is there or the aid is there
05:52by the government, then why the cases are been rising.
05:54And there are 743 cases, 18, 16 lakh fine that has been imposed on the farmers in the past
06:00one and a half month and 296 FIIs and 266 FIIs and red entries being made in revenue report.
06:10All right, Aman, thank you for getting us those details.
06:13So, Amit, the poor air quality in the national capital region, the farm fires in Punjab continue
06:19to rage.
06:24And we're now getting some more breaking news.
06:26Encounters took place at two different locations in the national capital.
06:30Two criminals were injured in the encounter.
06:32The first encounter took place in the Rajoli Garden area of Delhi.
06:36The criminal was shot during the encounter.
06:38The second encounter took place in the Amar Colony area of Delhi.
06:42And Delhi police attempted to apprehend an accused who was absconding in an attempted murder case.
06:48My colleague Shriya Chatterjee is now joining us with more details on this.
06:57Shriya, give us more details about these two encounters being reported from the national capital.
07:03Well, there are three separate encounters that have taken place in the national capital.
07:07One in the West District, which is in Rajoli Garden, and the other under the South District,
07:13which is in Amar Colony.
07:14In Rajoli Garden, we've been told that the encounter broke out between Delhi police and
07:19the criminal when the criminal was injured during an exchange of fire because he tried
07:24to escape.
07:25The other one is of an attempt to murder accused.
07:29He was wanted in a case by the Delhi police.
07:32And this was a second encounter that has taken place in Amar Colony.
07:37Since the last few days, we have seen a rise in the manner that Delhi police is trying to
07:43nab individuals.
07:45There have been reports of multiple encounters that have been reported, especially surrounding
07:50those involving in gangster activities.
07:52All right, Shriya, thank you for getting us those details on the twin encounters in the
07:57national capital.
07:59At this point, we're getting some breaking news from the national capital, Delhi's Yamuna
08:03lifeline.
08:03How clean is the Yamuna River now?
08:06Did Rekha Gupta do what Arvind Kejriwal couldn't?
08:10Amadmi Party says artificial guard created on Yamuna River.
08:13Here, Delhi Chief Minister's answer to the Amadmi Party.
08:22All right, we'll get you what Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta said while responding to the claims
08:33being made by the Amadmi Party of creating an artificial guard over the Yamuna River to
08:38hide its failures.
08:40This is what the Amadmi Party has claiming, to which Rekha Gupta, speaking exclusively to
08:46India today, responded to the claims that were being made by the Amadmi Party.
08:51So the politics over Yamuna River continues.
08:54Delhi's Yamuna lifeline.
08:55The question is that how clean is Yamuna River?
08:58Remember, this question also comes at a time when Chhat Puja is underway.
09:03Today is the third day of Chhat Puja.
09:05And the question on everybody's mind is that did Rekha Gupta do what Kejriwal couldn't?
09:10This is the first time of the year of Chhat Puja.
09:17The first time of the year of Chhat Puja was closed by the previous government.
09:19The first time of the year of Chhat Puja was closed by the previous government.
09:23They were closed by the first of the year of Chhat Puja.
09:27They had a lot of boards.
09:28Some people who came to the Yamuna River to the Pooja had a case.
09:33This is the new Delhi, we have prepared for a new city, a holy city of Delhi.
09:41We have set up 17 places in Yamina.
09:47We have set up 17 villages.
09:50We have set up 17 villages.
09:52We have set up different places from the village.
09:55There is a staircase that has been set up there.
09:59And my colleague Ashutosh Mishra is now joining us with more details on this.
10:27Ashutosh, the politics over Yamuna River continues.
10:30How does the situation look like this year?
10:33And also we are seeing that the Aam Admi Party is now claiming that the BJP has made artificial ghats over Yamuna.
10:40Tell us more about that as well.
10:45Okay, so as far as celebration, Anjaleen's Delhi is concerned with regards to chhat celebration.
10:50This ritual is being done over the decades.
10:53Any government has been in Delhi, has been making those arrangements.
10:55There is a different, in fact, department across the NCT government which makes all these preparations.
11:01Now as far as artificial lakes and ghats are concerned, I am here at the ITO Ghats.
11:05And over the years I have been seeing right next to the Yamuna, there is also artificial pond and lake have been formed.
11:11So these are actually to ensure maximum people of the Purwanchillis to offer for the prayers,
11:16particularly on the day 3 when they come here to offer the prayers to the setting sun.
11:20Now this year what we are seeing next, that the artificial ghats made at Vasudev Ghats,
11:25eventually the water is not, you know, way much clearer than the water that is flowing actually at the moment in Yamuna.
11:32So Aam Adi Party's accusation is, since there is election in Bihar,
11:35the BJP trying giving its best and political colour,
11:39probably it will be the Prime Minister who will be taking a dip on the 3rd or the 4th day
11:43in that Vasudev Ghats, the artificial formation of the lake that you are seeing in those images.
11:49And after they released, clearly BJP is also replying, look, we have been making those kind of arrangements.
11:53Now as far as preparations of the ghats are concerned,
11:55this time we see the water level in Yamuna is flowing way better than what we have seen in the previous year.
12:01So clearly Yamuna naturally that looks black.
12:03This year because of there is more water flow, it looks slightly cleaner.
12:07Now at the same time, whether it is water one can drink,
12:10no of course not because the TDS value is way more high.
12:13As far as cleaning is concerned, those machines still round the clock are working
12:17that I see over the river, which is cleaning everything.
12:19In fact, the offering that are coming from also from the neighboring states
12:22and other parts of, across through Yamuna, that is being cleaned by two machines at ITO guard.
12:27So that's these kind of arrangements.
12:28Now let's talk about de-foaming.
12:30Eventually it is the same chemical which is of course approved by the government authority.
12:35That is to de-foam the foaming formation at Kalindi Kunj.
12:39We have seen the politics playing, BJP in opposition was opposing that now in the government.
12:42Of course, repeating the same process.
12:44So while the politics on the cleaning of Yamuna taking place, the arrangements are,
12:48this time we see that after a couple of years, the devotees will be able to offer their offerings
12:53to setting sun here, even at the Yamuna guard.
12:56So this time, even the arrangements here across the banking areas have also been made.
13:01So the accusation is all about cleaning of Yamuna.
13:04Yamuna says that we never, we never pressurized government.
13:07We were never asked them question.
13:08It is the BJP, which is claiming that look now, Yamuna looks so clean.
13:12All these optics are only to lose the Bihari voters because there is election in Bihar.
13:16And BJP is also trying to give a message from the national capital because you have the
13:20millions of Biharis, the Purwanchalis living here.
13:23And politically, if you see the optics in otherwise, at ITO guard, largely all these posters
13:27are belonging to the Delhi government because chhat body, there is a sameti, there is a
13:31these bodies are under the Delhi government.
13:33Now what I see, very interesting poster.
13:35This is Hindustani Awam Morcha.
13:37One and only political poster at ITO guard, Jitra Ramanji, the union minister and a key
13:42ally, crucial ally in Bihar, Hindustani Awam Morcha.
13:45One political poster you will also see at Delhi's chhat ghat with a picture of Jitra Ramanji,
13:50with the picture of Prime Minister Modi and Chief Minister Rekha Gupta, along with that
13:53Hindustani Awam Morcha.
13:55So, of course, when it comes to the festival in Bengal, in Uttar Pradesh, in Bihar, in Jharkhand,
14:00largely we see these, of course, the Ganesh Chaturthi, the Mahapuja in Maharashtra as well.
14:06So there is a political, you know, politics and political optics always play.
14:10So this time around what we are seeing is playing on the Yamuna.
14:13Earlier it was the pollution as far as cracker bursting on the air pollution issue.
14:17Now it is about Yamuna.
14:18Arrangements are in place.
14:20The devotees will start coming after two, after three, and they will be offering to setting
14:24the sun and another two days of this crucial, this very important and significant festival
14:28where we see the millions of Biharis celebrating in the national capital and, of course, all
14:33over the country.
14:34Anjali.
14:34All right, Ashutosh, thank you for getting us those details.
14:37So as per my colleague Ashutosh Mishra, who's on the ground at the Ghat, he says that the Yamuna
14:42river looks much cleaner this year as compared.
14:45Let's once again listen into what the Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta said while talking
14:49about the arrangements that have been made for the Chhat Pooja.
14:51So if it's Ghanga Ji's water and Yamuna Ji's water here, they are challenging that now, Rekha
15:02Ji, you are drinking water in a bottle and drinking water in a bottle.
15:05So Rekha Ji, let me drink water in a bottle and I'm going to my home.
15:10They don't know what the Madam is in the office.
15:11Now, Mr. Kejriwal had been drinking at home.
15:14He was living here.
15:15So he also went to my home.
15:16So I called him and I said, brother, let me drink water in a bottle, I'm sitting in a bottle.
15:22So this is their thought.
15:23We have never claimed that Yamuna is the right to drink.
15:29We can drink, sit, sit.
15:32We can take it so much.
15:34It will take time to drink.
15:37It will take time to drink.
15:39It will take time to drink.
15:40It will take time to drink.
15:41Okay, another plank was your other.
15:45So you said to give it to Diwali, you will get some relaxation.
15:51But the next day, AQI was a lot of extra.
15:55How much extra?
15:56It was 300 years ago.
15:58It was 300 years ago.
16:00It was 300 years ago.
16:02It was 300 years ago.
16:03The last time Diwali was 330 years ago.
16:06It was 350 years ago.
16:07What happened?
16:08The next day it was up.
16:09The next day it changed.
16:10It went up around 255.
16:11It was in this moment and it was up between 304 and 351.
16:13What happened?
16:14It went up after a few days.
16:15It went up after a now, and the government had been up by now.
16:16When it was 403, it was 351. What happened?
16:20And then it was slowly down.
16:22In today's city, it was 270.
16:25I don't know how much it is.
16:27It was 270.
16:29So, the government has done so much work after coming to us.
16:33Where did it happen?
16:35It was our whole goal.
16:37There is a land, there is a wind, there is a wind.
16:40We are working on every task.
16:42The problem is how much work is there.
16:44Sometimes they will speak on the river, sometimes they will speak on the river, sometimes they will speak on the river.
16:48Now, the work of speaking is difficult.
16:50So, why do we bother you?
16:52There is another video.
16:53He is saying that wherever AQI is not able to go,
16:57you have a lot of tankers running there.
17:00The tankers are shooting there.
17:02So, how do we not use AQI?
17:04Today, it is in mobile.
17:05It will not go anywhere.
17:06What is the problem?
17:07In which area we will put AQI will come.
17:09Who has said that where the water is running, the AQI will tell you.
17:12How do we put AQI?
17:14Many people are saying that God is still willing.
17:15In October, it will be a dip in November.
17:17It will be a lot more, later in November.
17:19There is much more tension.
17:21There are two of us게요.
17:23There is no view in that God is willing.
17:25Because we are doing as a Ram's farm, then Ram's farm is our farm.
17:29So, we are doing this for Ram's farm.
17:30We are making it clean for Ram's farm.
17:32We are making the way to help help prevent Diwali,
17:33as it is working on them.
17:35to keep everyone happy, so Ram Ji is also saying something to them.
17:42The people who are in their minds will ask questions.
17:45Some people, because we were also leaving on the ground,
17:48some people were saying that what started this very late.
17:51Now we are seeing that machines are still working.
17:53How much desilting has happened to Yamuna Ji.
17:55Because this was a big plan.
17:57You guys have challenged the government to AQI,
18:01and one is Yamuna Ji's producer.
18:04So Yamuna Ji's production, you have changed the amount of silks,
18:07and the amount of work.
18:08Now we are seeing that machines are still working.
18:11Look, this is a non-stop work.
18:13You understand the situation of Delhi.
18:15In Delhi, as many people live in Delhi,
18:18the population is growing up a day.
18:19About 1.5 crore.
18:21But the sewage system,
18:24there is no sewage system here.
18:28Today, if we believe that our sewage disposal
18:32is 1500 MGD.
18:35So when the government handed over the government,
18:38then we have only 600 MGD for the sewage treatment plants.
18:47After coming, we have worked on it.
18:52because all the trees are falling in the end,
18:55and they are falling in the end.
18:57You are not falling in the end.
18:58No one has no sense.
18:59You have nowhere to go.
19:00You have found it.
19:01Nagav Gad Nala.
19:02Shadra Nala.
19:03They are falling all down.
19:05So when the trees are falling in the lake,
19:07the trees are falling in the sea.
19:09The trees was not desilting.
19:11So, when we came to Delhi, we understood that there were 22,000,000 mt tons of silt removed from it.
19:24During the last 6-8 months, when it happened, there were 22,000,000 mt tons of silt.
19:32So, when you were in Delhi, there were 37,000 mt tons of silt.
19:45I am saying that 500 mt tons of silt is a big deal for treating it.
19:50It was not the same.
19:52We had to upgrade it to 27,000 mt tons of silt.
19:56Then the silt increased to 814 mt tons.
20:00We had to upgrade it to 10 more silt.
20:04We had to upgrade it to 13,000 mt tons of silt.
20:09We had to tender it to 13.
20:10And there was another plan.
20:12The whole plan is that the seaway system is in Delhi.
20:15To add a seaway pipeline in Delhi.
20:17To build a seaway in Delhi.
20:19To build a decentralized silt.
20:21Then Yamuna will be clean.
20:23There is no one day.
20:24I will say that I have gone, and Yamuna Ji is clean.
20:27No, it will be time.
20:29It will be time.
20:30It will be time.
20:31It will be time.
20:32It will be time.
20:33It will be time.
20:34It will be time.
20:35It will be time.
20:36And former Delhi Minister Saurabhadwaj calls the cleaning of Yamuna and eye wash ahead of Bihar elections.
20:54Listen in.
20:55There is a water that I have brought up with the water.
20:59And yesterday we have made a video.
21:01And there is a video in front of the video.
21:03And the people who say that we are saying that we are talking about.
21:07It is their pleasure.
21:08It is not today.
21:09It is not today.
21:10It is not today.
21:11It is not today.
21:12We are ready to go with the water.
21:13Where Najibgad Nala is getting.
21:15Then Yamuna is the case.
21:16It is not today.
21:17It is not today.
21:18It is not today.
21:19It is not today.
21:21We are now getting some more breaking news.
21:22Pilots body asks DGCA to roll back to the police.
21:23If you are drinking water, you will think that they will be a typhoid or cholera.
21:25It is possible that someone will die.
21:26And there is no such a possibility of this.
21:27It is not today.
21:28It is not today.
21:29It is not today.
21:30It is not today.
21:31It is not today.
21:32It is not today.
21:33It is not today.
21:34It is not today.
21:35It is not today.
21:36It is not today.
21:37It is today.
21:38And we are now getting some more breaking news.
21:49Pilots body asks DGCA to roll back Boeing 787 crews extended hours.
21:54Pilots body ALPA that is the Airline Pilots Association India has urged DGCA to withdraw extension of flight duty time for Boeing 787 crew.
22:06DGCA recently extended the flight duty time limit for two pilot Dreamliner operations to 10 and a half hours from 10 hours and flight duty period also increased to 14 hours from 13 hours.
22:20Now, ALPA India has warned that this decision creates scenario ripe for fatigue induced errors.
22:27My colleague Amit Bhardwaj is now joining us with more details on this.
22:32Amit, give us more details about the concerns that have been raised by the ALPA India.
22:37Anjali, you know, this is ALPA India which has written to the DGCA asking them to immediately withdraw the SDPL extension which is the flight duty time limit which prescribes your flight time as well as your flight duty period in totality.
22:56So, recently what had happened was that there was an exemption which was given into the Para 6.1.3 which limited the flight time to 10 hours and the flight duty period to 13 hours.
23:13So, 30 minutes of extension has been given in the flight time as well as the flight duty period has been increased from 13 hours to 14 hours.
23:23Now, ALPA India is saying that this can actually lead to further critique of the craft which are currently being run by two member crew or two pilots.
23:34So, essentially what they are demanding is that immediately the FTTL extension for two pilot 787 operations should be withdrawn.
23:44Number two, they are also asking that the mandate augmented too which means the number of two pilots should be increased to three pilots on all flights which has flight time exceeding 8 hours.
24:01And beyond that, they are also asking that future if anything of this sort, you know, in terms of FTTL extension, a decision is taken.
24:10There has to be assessment, holistic assessment of the fatigue management of the pilots as well that has to be taken into context.
24:19And where this is originating from is the fact that the pilots who are, you know, flying 787, there is a restriction for them to recline their seats because there is a safety concern around it.
24:34So, the pilot body is saying that this is already creating fatigue to the pilots and now extension would further create safety concerns.
24:42All right, Amit, thank you so much for those details.
24:45So, ALPA India has expressed concerns to roll back Boeing 787 cruise extended hours.
