00:41The NDLEA said it planted its men inside the illicit drugs party allegedly held a proxy nightclub in Victoria Island.
00:49According to the news release issued and made available by NDLEA on Sunday,
00:54NDLEA operatives in the early hours of Sunday, the 26th of October raided proxy nightclub at 7 Akin Adesola Street, Victoria Island where a drug party was going on.
01:06Over 100 suspects including the owner of the club, Mike Ezeanwali Aonwogu alias Pretty Mike, were arrested and taken into custody for screening.
01:15Cartons of illicit substances including loud, and laughing gas, were recovered from suspects at the party and the club's store.
01:24The raid followed intelligence about the drug party.
01:28NDLEA operatives who were embedded in the party between 11pm on Saturday 25th of October however disrupted the gathering at 3am on Sunday 26th of October based on standard operating procedures, SOPS.
01:42In another operations, NDLEA said, Interraba, the duo of Owl Moussa, 26, and Salihubala, 22, were on Tuesday 21st of October arrested with 450,000 pills of Tramadol and EXOL5 at Dan Anika checkpoint while conveying the consignment in a truck loaded with building materials from Anitsha, Anambra State to Mubi, Adamawa State.
02:09A total of 70 parcels of cocaine factory packed in walls of cocoa butter formula body cream containers heading to London, United Kingdom have been uncovered at the export shed of the Matala Mohamed International Airport, MMIA, Akeja, Lagos by operatives of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency, NDLEA, with three suspects arrested in series of follow-up operations across Lagos.
02:36The cocaine consignments weighing 3.60 kg were discovered on 14th of October 2025 during examination of cargos packaged as personal effects going to London, UK on an airpiece flight.
02:50A cargo agent, Lawal Mustafa Olukunle, who presented the consignment for air freight, was promptly arrested while investigations stretching into two weeks led to the arrest of two principal suspects linked to the attempt to export the concealed class, a drug, to the UK.
03:06In a follow-up operation on the 18th of October, a female healthcare worker Ogunmuyi Taiwo Debra was arrested following which Mutiyu Adebayo Adebayi, the chief executive officer of a travel agency, Mutiyu Adebayi and Company, was arrested at his 23 Nidoke Akantola Street, Akeja, GRA, Lagos office on Monday 20th of October.
03:29In a similar development, attempt by a 35-year-old Lesotho National Lemona Mark to export 103.59 grams of methamphetamine concealed in a diabeta herbs coffee tea pack to the Philippines on an Ethiopian Airlines flight from the Akano-Ibiam International Airport, AIIA, Enugu on Wednesday 22nd of October was thwarted by NDLEA offices who arrested him and recovered the illicit drug.
03:58No fewer than 21,950 capsules of tramadol 250 mg concealed inside a 100-liter water heater were recovered from a suspect, Umar Abubakar, 40, who was arrested by NDLEA operatives at Bodsadu, Moro local government area of Kwara State following credible intelligence on Tuesday 21st of October.
04:22While NDLEA offices on patrol along Akene, Lokoja Highway, Kogi State seized 162.200 kg skunk, a strain of cannabis, from a truck on Friday.
04:36The 24th of October, operatives in Nassarawa State on Wednesday 22nd of October recovered 128 kg of same psychoactive substance from a suspect, Abu Bakr Muhammad, 55, in Kefi area of the state.
04:53A mother of two, Oionimo Glory F. Young who is a major distributor of Canadian and California Loud, both strong strains of cannabis in Lekki, Arja, Okoyi, Victoria Island and VGC areas of Lagos have been arrested by NDLEA operatives on Friday 17th of October during a raid at her Lekki home where 500 grams of the illicit substances were recovered.
05:18In Icarodu area of Lagos, NDLEA offices on Thursday 23rd of October raided the home of a suspect, Ogunyabo Adanigbig Bay at Solomaday Estate where 275 liters of skuchis, a new psychoactive substance produced with black currant drink, cannabis and opioids, were recovered.
05:38A 75-year-old grandpa, Ekendu Onuoka was on Wednesday 22nd of October arrested at Ovum Village, Obingwa local government area, Abia State with 4.7 kg skunk seized from him while a 60-year-old grandma, Orkana John was nabbed with 225 grams of same substance at Apanta Village, in the same local government area.
06:04While 150 kg skunk was recovered during a raid operation at Lodkamp, Ikunakoko, Ondo State, two suspects, Bashir Mohamed, 50, and Samini Ahmed Tajani, 35, were nabbed with 234.5 kg of same substance at Yanaya, Samanaka in Leray local government area, Kaduna on Friday 24th of October just as another set of suspects.
06:32Isosman, 50, and Salvation Ocula, 18, were arrested with 8,600 pills of Tramadol 225 mg and Rohypnol along Abuja, Kaduna Highway.
06:46At the semi-border area of Lagos, NDLEA operatives on Wednesday 22nd of October nabbed Jacob Ojigbele with 55 kg skunk at a shipper area of Badagri while Amusa Oluwabukola was arrested with 121.3 liters of scoochies at Itoga Badagri.
07:05In Zamfara state, NDLEA operatives on patrol along Gummy Anchor Road on Monday 20th of October arrested a suspect Abu Bakr Ibrahim, 30, in possession of AK-47 rifle and 1,746 assorted calibers of ammunition for AK-47 and GPMG rifles while moving them from Sokato to Baghega Forest, Anchor local government area, Zamfara.
07:33Both the suspect and the exhibits have since been handed over to the appropriate security agency for further investigation.
07:41With the same vigor, commands and formations of the agency across the country continued their war against drug abuse, WADA, sensitization activities to schools, worship centers, workplaces and communities among others in the past week.
07:56These include, WADA sensitization lecture to students and staff of Asabari Grammar School, Aluwa Asaleoke, Saki West Local Government Area, Oyo, Government Day Girls Secondary School,
08:09Bernan Kebi, Kebi, Saints Marks College, Insude, Enugu, Kusaki Secondary School, Igboko North, Benu, Government Day Secondary School, Sertibarua, Gashaka Local Government Area, Taraba, Police Children's School 2, Port Harcourt, Rivers and Hajara Armored International School, Tudunwada, Kano State, among others.
08:34While commending the officers and men of MMIA, AIIA, Lagos, Kwara, Abia, Nasarawa, Kogi, Ondo, Anambra, Taraba, Kaduna, Seme and Zamfara commands for the arrests and seizures,
08:51Chairman, Chief Executive Officer of NDLEA, Brigadier General Mohamed Baba Mawa, retired, urged them and their colleagues across the country to continue with the ongoing balanced approach to the drug control efforts of the agency,
