00:00Chaos and rubble have engulfed an Islamic boarding school in East Java after the building collapsed Monday.
00:06Dozens of students are still trapped and rescuers are scrambling to reach them.
00:13The school was in the middle of unauthorized renovations to add two stories when the structure caved in,
00:19sending concrete and debris crashing down on the students.
00:22The collapse happened about 480 miles east of Jakarta, Indonesia's capital.
00:28Officials say at least 100 people are injured, including broken bones and head trauma, and 90 students are still missing.
00:35According to survivors, inside, most of the students were boys aged 12 to 18 in grades 7 through 12.
00:42Female students were in a separate part of the building and escaped safely.
00:46Indonesia's National Search and Rescue Agency has deployed 300 personnel pushing through rubble to deliver oxygen, water and food.
00:54Rescuers used hand tools and thermal drones to carefully navigate the collapsed structure, hoping to spot anyone still alive.
01:02The search is made even harder by a recent 6.5 magnitude earthquake, which shrank the spaces rescuers can work in.
