00:00Dolly Parton wants y'all to hear it straight from her lips. She's fine. The 79-year-old legend
00:08posted a video to set the record straight after a wave of concern sparked by her sister Frida's
00:14late night call for prayers on social media. I know lately everybody thinks that I am sicker
00:21than I am. Do I look sick to you? I'm working hard here. Anyway, I wanted to put everybody's
00:27mind at ease, those of you that seem to be real concerned, which I appreciate. And I
00:33appreciate your prayers because I'm a person of faith. I can always use the prayers for
00:38anything and everything. But I want you to know that I'm okay.
00:43See, what a nice message. Parton says she's been under the weather and is going through
00:47a few treatments, but assures fans it's nothing major. She admits after losing her husband,
00:52Carl Dean, earlier this year, remember that? She, quote, let a few things go health-wise.
00:57Last month, Dolly Parton announced she was postponing her December concerts in Vegas
01:01until 2026 because of health challenges. But now she's getting back on track.
01:07There's just a lot of rumors flying around, but I figured if you heard it from me, you'd
01:13know that I was okay. So anyhow, that's what I wanted to say. And I'm not ready to die yet.
01:20I don't think God is through with me and I ain't done working. So I love you for caring
01:26and keep praying for me.
01:29All right. Thank you, Dolly. We will. Her sister, Freda, later clarified online that her prayer
01:34request was just a little sister worried about her big sister. Dolly captions her video,
01:39I ain't dead yet. And thank goodness.
