00:00Did you feel like Mercedes was taking you for granted there for a while?
00:04It felt like you had to kind of shake her up and bring out this other side of her now,
00:09this more aggressive Mercedes.
00:12I mean, I think she takes everything for granted, to be honest.
00:15She's a very spoiled, unappreciative b****, and I, for one, do not stand for it.
00:19Neither does the people.
00:20Do you feel like this match is coming at the right time in your careers?
00:23I know in one of the promos you both talked about kind of how you feel like you've maybe
00:28found the best versions of yourselves here in AEW.
00:31Oh, I don't know about that.
00:32I don't know if it came at the right time.
00:33I don't think anything comes at the right time.
00:35I mean, this could be the end of me.
00:36This could be my demise.
00:37I could die out there.
00:40So that's a tough one.
00:41You've got me in a pickle there, Joe.
00:43Do you feel any kind of common ground with her where you both had to leave a place to
00:48kind of maybe get the creative freedom to find the versions of yourselves that's really
00:54connected with the audience?
00:55We have some things, some similarities, some things in common, but for the most part,
01:01couldn't be more different.
01:03For example, I'm a really lovely, generous, good-looking, amazing star, and she's an a*****.
01:11She's a horrible prick.
01:13She's awful.
01:14She's so rude.
01:14She's so, she's nasty, egotistical, takes advantage of anyone and anything.
01:19We couldn't be more, we're, we're, we couldn't be more different.
01:23You guys have never had a singles match together, and I know you guys have billed this as trying
01:30to have the greatest women's match ever.
01:32Why do you think you guys can, can pull that off here in Texas?
01:35I don't, I don't think it'll be the greatest women's match ever, actually.
01:37I think it'd be nothing.
01:40No, I really don't.
01:41I really don't think it'll be a great match.
01:44I think it'll be a very violent fight.
01:47We're not, we're not there to, to put on a, a great show.
01:53This is a, this is a fight.
01:55I'm fighting for my life out there.
01:56As I said, this could be my complete demise.
01:58This could be the end of me.
02:00She wants to put me out.
02:01This woman wants me gone.
02:02And I know that because she keeps attacking me, blindsiding me.
02:06So, uh, this will be anything but great and everything horrible, violent, all the reason,
02:13all the more reason to watch.
02:15Do you feel like you've become the, the standard bearer for this division when you've won,
02:19you know, the AW women's title multiple times?
02:21Do you feel like you have to keep this belt away from her because she has so many already?
02:26I guess it's my pride and joy.
02:27You know, she has so many, she, she has so many of these belts titles from wherever.
02:31But I only care for one.
02:33I only give a shit about one.
02:35The AEW Women's World Championship.
02:38That is, uh, that's my baby.
02:40You know, it's my baby and I must protect my baby.
02:43What do you think it's been about Timeless Tony Storm that's allowed you to connect with
02:49the audience in such a genuine and powerful way here over the last couple of years?
02:54I think I'm just naturally such a performer, just such a, a woman that everyone just wants
02:58to look at, uh, be like, uh, everyone just.
03:01You know, um, you know, dreams, dreams to, uh, to, to, to be like me, to become me.
03:08Uh, it's very captivating, very captivating to an audience, very good looking, very powerful.
03:13Uh, you know, I could go on, but I don't want to bore you.
03:17You've obviously put, you know, plenty of, uh, innuendos in your promos.
03:21You're, you've known to kiss your partners, kiss your opponents after matches.
03:25Is, is that something that is, um, maybe a risk that other people aren't either given
03:32the chance to take or aren't willing to take and, and to kind of put into their, uh, performance?
03:38Well, what is so risky about love, darling?
03:41It's love.
03:41When you love someone, you want to show them that.
03:44My girlfriend, Lina Shurukawa, for example, can't help myself around her.
03:50Just so kissable.
03:51You know what I mean?
03:53So, uh, no, I don't think there's any risk when it comes to love.
03:56I'm just showing my affection.
03:58I'm a, I'm a very affectionate woman.
04:00Um, speaking of, of love stories and I guess tragedies, um, what, how do you look back on
04:09your story and, and with Mariah May and what do you hope the audience took from it now that
04:14it's kind of this, it's looked back as, as obviously one of the best feuds ever in the
04:19company?
04:20I mean, I think I, I think it taught a very valuable lesson.
04:23Don't trust anyone.
04:24Be careful who you let in because, uh, I mean, I was absolutely, you know, blindsided by her.
04:30I, I thought she was the love of my life.
04:32She was everything to me and she completely, uh, betrayed me, stabbed me in the back.
04:37So I think it's a lesson to all.
04:38If anyone can take anything away from that, it's, uh, just be really careful.
04:42Well, in Australia, I was, uh, you know, I, I was, I was very happy.
04:46I thought it would be the end of her.
04:47Then like her horror film, she pops up again.
04:50And, uh, yeah, to, to put it to bed, to lay it to rest was one of the greatest accomplishments
04:55of my life.
04:56I'm so glad that woman has gone.
04:58I've vanished her.
04:58She's been exiled.
05:00She's been compromised to a permanent end that I know for sure.
05:04Glad I don't have to see her face anymore.
05:07It's a relief.
05:08How do you hope kind of what you're doing now and, and the way you're going about what
05:14you put on screen either kind of advances or maybe open some other doors for, for women
05:20wrestlers down, down the line to, to maybe have a different level of, of performance and
05:26creativity.
05:26I have no idea how to answer that, to be honest, very complex.
05:35You're a deep thinker.
05:37I like that.
05:38Um, yeah, I don't know.
05:40I mean, the door's open for any woman that wants to do this.
05:44So nothing's really changed there.
05:46I just rolled out of bed one day and became timeless.
05:48So, you know, I admit it's very hard for anyone to become anything like me.
05:55I'm not saying just anyone can do it, but I'm sure it opens many doors.
06:00What do you hope?
06:01Obviously, this is a huge event for AEW.
06:04What do you hope people take away from, from your match when it's over?
06:07And do you see this as something that could continue beyond this, this one match here at
06:11all?
06:12Yes, it definitely could.
06:16I just, it's very hard to predict.
06:18I understand I am a medium and clairvoyant, uh, but I, I really can't predict the outcome
06:24of this one.
06:25I have no, no idea what to expect apart from violence and doom.
06:32Just the hope that I can be strong enough to stand up at the end of it with my precious
06:38championship in hand.
06:40That's all I can hope for.
06:41And I hope people can, uh, go home that night satisfied.
06:45I hope that people enjoy it for whatever the outcome.
06:49And, uh, if this does end up in my demise and I, I hope they enjoy that also, although
06:54it would be very heartbreaking for the masses.
06:57And I said, do you, do you feel like the company is starting to build some momentum again?
07:02There was, you know, obviously a period where people felt like it was a low, it feels like
07:05there's a, there's a different energy around things right now.
07:08Peaks and valleys, ebbs and flows.
07:12It's just how it goes.
07:13It's, it's like that in everything.
07:15It's like that in life.
07:16Everything is, uh, neither here nor there, up and down.
07:20But, uh, I'm proud to be a part of the ride.
07:22I'm proud to be a part of the AEW journey.
07:24It's a, it's a wonderful place here.
07:26It's, I've definitely found home in this place.
07:29And, uh, you know, I hope we continue to progress, fight the good fight and send the people, send
07:37the people home very, very happy.
07:39And I hope everyone keeps attending all of our wonderful live wrestling events.
07:43They're very action packed.
07:43Very good.
07:45Uh, very proud of, of everyone here.
07:48Everyone involved.
07:48Very proud of our president, Anthony Khan.
07:51Tony, thanks.
07:52I really do appreciate it.
07:53I know we're going to look forward to what you and Mercedes do here, uh, next weekend.
07:57Absolutely.
07:57Thank you so much.
