00:16pool. Same thing went in. I mean, it was like, I was in the interview.
00:22I thought I did pretty well. I was well prepared for the interview.
00:27Right. If the Knicks would have offered me the job,
00:31I would have had to do it. Okay. Not just for me,
00:35it's for women for just to break open that,
00:39that I would have to, and it's the New York Knicks and I'm from Philly,
00:43but it's the freaking New York Knicks.
00:46And I did say that in the interview, like it's the, I said, I said,
00:51I actually said it. Y'all don't have to censor it out.

00:55But I did. I was like, it's the freaking New York Knicks. Like, yes.
01:01Would I take any NBA job? No, but I will say this.
01:06The NBA has to be ready for a female head coach.
01:11You can't just interview somebody and say, we're going to, we're going to,
01:17we're going to hire, we're going to hire her.
01:19Because here's the thing.
01:21Cause I think I probably lost a job by,
01:25by asking this question or I had a series of questions that I asked them.
01:31One was for who they were looking for,
01:35for why I was in a candidate pool. Right.
01:37If I was so attractive, I said, has the New York Knicks organization in its history ever had what you're looking for?
01:47They wanted a team.
01:49They wanted the inclusiveness with management and the coaches and everyone wanted to feel like a team of,
01:55you know, a closely knit franchise.
01:57And the answer was really no.
02:01But if you don't hire anybody different, how are you going to get that?
02:05That's one.
02:06And then my other question was,
02:08how, if you hired me as the first female coach in the WNBA,
02:14how would it impact your daily job?
02:17Cause it would, it would.
02:19Cause you're going to be asked questions that you don't have to be asked.
02:24If you hire a male coach,
02:25there's going to be the media.
02:28There's going to be all this stuff that you're going to have to deal with that.
02:31You, you didn't have to deal with,
02:33and you don't have to deal with when you,
02:36when you, when you hire a male.
02:38And then that, that got them to thinking that really got them to thinking about,

02:47And then I, I felt, I felt the energy change after that.
