00:00So I love public speaking and I love interacting with my peers and I thought the radio station was a great way to start to get comfortable talking and you're not in the camera at first but you're still doing what, presenting yourself to an audience and you get to work with music and just your classmates and get used to talking to other people.
00:20I think I've grown a lot. I feel like it's all natural to me now. I know how everything works. I know all the buttons and I know how to program everything and I just think I'm more natural and comfortable and I can express myself.
00:34When I watch the NFL or the MLB with my dad, I would always see these news reporters on the TV and I go, that's something that I want to do because I'm not in a sport where it's professional and I like being behind the camera but I'm not in those sports so a way for me to be behind the camera and in the sports field is by interviewing people and talking and it's just something that I saw on TV and I really want to do it.
01:01Yeah, I'm really excited about it. I love this program really so I've been doing this for four years on the high school level and I just try to do whatever I can honestly to help out this team because I love my brothers and whatever I got to do whether it's play scout, hop in at a new position, I'll do it and with this broadcasting role I'm really excited about it and this is something I wanted to explore in my future when I graduate from high school and I'm really excited that State Gym can provide this opportunity for me.
01:29So I just wanted the experience of doing this to start because as a young adult this is a really good opportunity because usually if you do this it'll start in college so doing this five, six years earlier than I normally would have, it's a really cool opportunity and this will help me with avenues in the future.
01:46Watching on YouTube and the TV and seeing how these interviewers project themselves and the questions that they ask, I'm studying and I just want to watch as an example and hopefully I can portray the same way that they do.
