Buoyed by an energetic Filipino home crowd, Miguel Tabuena successfully defended home course as he ruled the International Series Philippines presented by Bingo Plus at the Sta. Elena Golf Club in Sta. Rosa, Laguna on Sunday, October 26.
Tabuena displayed steely nerves with a steady back nine, keying his fourth Asian Tour championship as he fired a 7-under 65 in the final round for a 24-under 264 total and his biggest career win yet.
Tabuena bagged a prize money of $360K or more than P21 million of the tournament featuring a total prize of $2 million or P117.5 million.
Japanese Kazuki Higa and Yosuke Asaji finished in joint second with 21-under 267s while Suwannarut and Zheng placed in joint third with 20-under 268s.

00:49in my home country, in my home club, in front of my family,
00:52my friends, and everyone here supporting me.
00:57How much was familiarity coming in QA3 for you as an advantage?
01:02Because obviously it seemed like you knew every single particular corner here in this course.
01:07I said earlier this week that global launch wasn't a big factor.
01:14So much because of the field and the strength of field, the world class players here this week.
01:21But I must say, it played a big part in the last few balls when I planned with my academy line.
01:38I knew exactly where to place the ball, where the pace will be, where to miss it.
01:48And I think it played a big part in the last few balls to close it out somehow.
01:54Yeah, it's very familiar the course, but it's not easy playing in front of these people here.
02:05And I'm glad that I was able to do it.
02:08You were also downplaying the fact that the pressure of having to play in front of your hometown fans.
02:13Right now, can you actually tell everybody what was going through your head the entire week with all of them following you from hole number one all the way to hole number 18 for four stages?
02:24It started Thursday afternoon until four to three now.
02:31And yeah, my body wasn't 100% during this week.
02:40I withdrew from morale last week due to the next spasms.
02:44And somehow we got it done.
02:49I was able to adjust and recover properly with my team.
02:56It was humbling to see the support I had out there no matter what kind of shot I hit.
03:08It was nice to be able to perform like that in front of them and show that the Filipino can truly compete in the last stage.
03:19hence I'm hoping to have an excellent level of field experience.
