Buoyed by an energetic Filipino home crowd, Miguel Tabuena successfully defended home course as he ruled the International Series Philippines presented by Bingo Plus at the Sta. Elena Golf Club in Sta. Rosa, Laguna on Sunday, October 26.
Tabuena displayed steely nerves with a steady back nine, keying his fourth Asian Tour championship as he fired a 7-under 65 in the final round for a 24-under 264 total and his biggest career win yet.
Tabuena bagged a prize money of $360K or more than P21 million of the tournament featuring a total prize of $2 million or P117.5 million.
Japanese Kazuki Higa and Yosuke Asaji finished in joint second with 21-under 267s while Suwannarut and Zheng placed in joint third with 20-under 268s.
