00:00I'm going to count you down from three. Here we go. Three, two, one, putt!
00:11I will now declare the 2025 edition of the International Series 4 Games presented by Viva Plus
00:17officially opened!
00:21What kind of form you're in getting into this week?
00:25This is my home course. This is where I grew up playing. I'm very familiar with the people running this property and I'm very proud that Santa Elena is actually hosting this event.
00:40It's the biggest event that we've had in the Philippines and I'm very proud to be a member here as well.
00:47But yeah, we've had pretty, pretty bad weather the last few months.
00:54But I'm great to see what Thym and the maintenance crew have done the last few days to turn it around.
01:03I played night goals Monday and it's just night and day from what I played a few weeks ago.
01:10So I'm very happy with how the course held out.
01:14Miguel, is it a double-edged sword? Because obviously they know this is your home course, but the expectations grow.
01:22Of course, you know, you always want to perform well in your home country, but it's still, you have to treat it like any other event.
01:31And then these guys on my right are major winners and they'll adapt to anything, right? So I guess course knowledge isn't such a big factor this week, but you know, I'm going to give it my best shot and keep that flipping the flag on top of the year.
01:49Well, not pressure, but it is. But like I said, you have to treat it like any other event and not let the pressure break you.
02:01Of course, there's pressure. You can't really avoid it. You have to face it head on and just let it happen.
02:09You know, I've prepared well. I've done what I can to prepare for this week. This is my sixth week in a row. So the body is a bit tired, but you know, we're here and you always can't be 100%.
02:29You have to adjust to whatever the environment is. And I should be ready for tomorrow.
02:39And I should be ready for tomorrow.
03:02And I will have to save time.
