00:00Jax Taylor is saying bye-bye to Bravo. Well, at least for now.
00:04The reality TV veteran has announced his departure from The Valley in a statement obtained by Page Six.
00:10After an incredibly challenging year and many honest conversations with my team and producers,
00:15I'll be stepping away from the next season of The Valley.
00:18Right now, my focus needs to be on my sobriety, my mental health, and co-parenting relationship.
00:24Taking this time is necessary for me to become the best version of myself, especially for our son Cruz.
00:29But a source close to the situation exclusively told Page Six that Jax stepping away doesn't mean the door is permanently closed.
00:37Everyone wants him well in a better place and is supportive of his journey. Everyone is hoping for the best.
00:42His exit follows two stints in rehab for cocaine addiction, which he opened up about on Bravo's Hot Mic podcast back in March.
00:50I'm an addict. I have substance issues, primarily with cocaine.
00:56Jax is also in the middle of a contentious divorce from his estranged wife, Brittany Carthright.
01:05She filed in August 2024 after five years of marriage and is seeking both legal and physical custody of their son Cruz.
01:12Brittany revealed that their breaking point came after an explosive fight when Jax, coming off a night of partying,
01:18was in a horrible mood, began making her cry on the way to Cruz's doctor's appointment and allegedly got into a hit-and-run incident that same day.
01:27If you do not say that the 30 days, I'm filing right away. I'm taking Cruz, getting full custody, and I'm putting a restraining order against you,
01:35and you're going to lose your job.
01:36You're crazy.
01:38Their relationship drama has taken center stage on the latest season of The Valley, and it's only getting messier.
01:44The Valley, and it's only getting messier.
