00:00Britney Spears admitted her marriage to Sam Asghari was a fake distraction after she was
00:05cut off from her sons, Sean Preston and Jaden James. The pop star got candid in a lengthy
00:11Instagram post about being estranged from her kids for three years. The post featured a photo
00:16of her not wearing any clothing as her back was turned to the camera. She captioned the post,
00:22We're just people, so fragile and human. The hardest years of my life were my two sons gone
00:26for those three years. I was cut off from calling or texting, and I remember in shock my secret to
00:32survival was denial and a lot of tears. It's weird me and Sam were married, but it almost felt like a
00:37fake distraction to help me deal with it. The Gimme More singer then spoke about how she knows she's on
00:43the road to healing, and spoke about abuse and trauma and owning her body. I know I'm healing
00:48because I'm hungry again like a child or baby. I'm so hungry it hurts, and when I eat, it's like it's
00:54my first time ever eating in my life. I believe although I've loved my home, there is way too
00:59much abuse and trauma in there. Today, I thank Jesus for food. It felt like telling others no,
01:05owning my body, and letting them really know where I'm from. Spears and Asghari first met in 2016 on
01:12the set of her Slumber Party music video. The Grammy winner and the former trainer tied the knot in June
01:172022, and by August 2023, Asghari filed for divorce, citing irreconcilable differences as the reason for
01:26the split. The exes finalized their divorce in May 2024.
