00:09Gaga, no! Lady Gaga abruptly canceled last night's Mayhem show in Miami, Florida,
00:15just minutes before showtime. She blamed an extremely strained voice during rehearsal the
00:20previous day, and again during pre-show warm-up. Understandably, her little monsters were crushed,
00:26including former co-host of The View and my personal pal, Michelle Collins.
00:31One ex-user tweeted,
00:33Never book a trip around a concert, because what do you mean I spent like $1,000 for this Lady Gaga
00:38concert and now I'm just stranded in Miami? Another wrote,
00:42Just experienced the third canceled or partially canceled Lady Gaga concert in my life.
00:47I am never buying a ticket to see her in Miami again. This place is cursed.
00:51The whole thing is giving Kelly Clarkson canceling the opening night of her Vegas residency back in
00:57July, just 90 minutes before curtain. At the time, she cited vocal issues. We later found out behind
01:03the scenes Kelly was dealing with her ailing ex-husband, Brandon Blackstock's final weeks.
01:08So what exactly went down with Gaga? In a lengthy Instagram story, the 14-time Grammy winner said
01:14both her doctor and vocal coach advised her not to take the stage on Wednesday, September 3rd.
01:20She wrote,
01:21I want to be hardcore and just push through this for you, but I don't want to risk long-term or
01:25permanent damage on my vocal cords. There is a significant risk, based on our combined experience
01:31with a show like ours, and as you know, I sing live every day. In other words, Gaga doesn't lip-sync.
01:38It's not the first tumble for the Mayhem tour, literally. Back in July in Vegas,
01:42Gaga suffered a nasty fall, and so did her cameraman.
01:57She quickly recovered, and hopefully her voice will be back in fighting shape when she returns
02:01to the Big Apple in two days. Her next stop is Madison Square Garden, Saturday, September 6th.
