00:00It's been just a little over a week since Taylor and Travis broke the internet with their engagement news.
00:05And now, of course, everyone wants to know, when's the wedding?

00:10What's going on? What's the update with our wedding planning?
00:13There have been some reports out that they're in no rush, that they're not worrying about it, that they're going to enjoy this phase.
00:19However, my insider is telling me, like most of it's going to be a year.
00:23It's going to be in Rhode Island, where she has her home in Watch Hill.
00:27Not Ohio, not Pennsylvania.
00:29No, not Nashville, but Rhode Island next summer.
00:33And that she actually wants to move things along.
00:35She's 35, she'll be 36 next year, and I'm told that she wants a family.
00:39Interesting. And are there reports that she's looking to have the wedding on the property in the $17 million mansion?
00:46No, so it's unclear if she'll have it at her place.
00:49But we did have another report that said that they want to keep it very private and have a smaller ceremony.
00:54So it would make sense.
00:55Right now, her Rhode Island mansion is actually under renovation.
00:59She's adding, I mean, it's already enormous, but she's adding, I think it has 10 bathrooms right now and something like eight bedrooms.
01:06But she's adding another massive bedroom and more bathrooms, because you can't have enough of those.
01:11And also, they're renovating the kitchen.
01:13So by next year, though, this should all be, like, updated and new, and she could probably fit however many friends and family she wants in there.
01:20And hopefully no porter potties at the Taylor Swift wedding, you know, on the property.
01:23I mean, they'd have the very nice ones.
01:25But, you know, it would be a great thing for, I think, you know, sometimes with some of these weddings, like, you know, Bezos, there were the big protests.
01:33Nobody wanted him there.
01:35With some of these things, people don't like it because it attracts so much attention.
01:38Not the case for the Ocean State.
01:39Well, the Rhode Island governor, Dan McGee, had tweeted,
01:43Rhode Island has some of the best wedding venues in the world.
01:46Just saying.
01:47Just saying.
01:48Newport, come on down.
01:50Yeah.
01:50I love that.
01:51So he's trying to court the, you know, the business for the state, for the coastal Rhode Island.
01:57You know, Watch Hill is obviously a very affluent community, but there's a lot of restaurants, caterers, all the people that get uplifted, like we saw with the Bezos wedding.
02:05You know, this is at her home and what I, you know, it's not in the article.
02:10I learned this after.
02:11It's actually near a resort.
02:12So they could actually maybe have the ceremony at this resort that's her neighbor and then later have a, or have the ceremony there and then have a party there or maybe even, like, do both.
02:23So it's depending on how big she wants to go.
02:25I mean, it's Taylor Swift.
02:26She can shoot for the moon.
02:27I mean, I'm sure it's going to be lovely and, you know, have so many flowers and all the stuff that she loves.
02:34Yeah, if it's anything like the engagement photos, there will be flowers.
02:37And I'm ready for a Taylor party because we were sort of robbed of her annual, semi-annual Fourth of July party that she throws with her celebrity friends.
02:45Which she does have at this Rhode Island house.
02:47Yes.
02:47But this year she skipped it.
02:49But in August, I guess, Travis didn't make an appearance?
02:53Yes, he was there and so was Patrick Mahomes.
02:55So they were at the pool.
02:57So, you know, it's a spot that she loves.
03:00And because of the renovation, people are thinking, oh, maybe this would be her primary residence.
03:03I had a report last week that she was in this area near Cleveland.
03:08It's a Cleveland suburb called Hunsing Valley.
03:10She was looking, our sources say, at an $18 million property.
03:14Is that all?
03:14Yeah, but, and that's also giant.
03:18Again, like, they need to be able to have he has his family, she has his family.
03:22They got to have the Hadids over.
03:24They got to have Blake Lively over.
03:26So, I mean, it makes sense that she wants the big place.
03:28You can't be putting Blake Lively in the, you know, Holiday Inn.
03:33Absolutely not.
03:34And this idea that it's going to be a low-key or a casual wedding, that's a surprise to me because she is, you know, the biggest pop star in the world.
03:42Like, what does that mean for a celebrity, low-key?
03:44I mean, I do think that she likes things cozy, though, right?
03:47Like, she loves, we saw with the engagement ring, like, she loves a vintage flair.
03:52She loves...
03:53Keeping it casual, you know, in the stands, rooting for him.
03:56She's not always glammed out.
03:58Yeah, I mean, I don't, I would not consider Taylor Swift to be, like, an ostentatious celebrity at all.
04:04Would you?
04:05No, I mean, aside from the $17 million Rhode Island mansion that she's only there one weekend a year.
04:10She needs it.
04:11But it's not all love for Taylor in the state of Rhode Island.
04:14The state passed a tax.
04:16Okay, the Taylor Swift tax was passed in June, charging non-primary residents $2.50 for every $500 of assessed property value above $1 million.
04:25So this is actually something some other states are trying to look at for people with second homes there.
04:31Right, and Taylor's, you know, famously not in Rhode Island for too many weeks out of the year, definitely mostly in the summer.
04:37And her house is well over $1 million.
04:40Yes.
04:40So she's paying the taxes, and, you know, maybe it's time for her to cash in on that and have a nice Rhode Island wedding.
04:46I mean, she loves this house.
04:47So it was actually mentioned in a song of hers off of Folklore in the 2020 album.
04:52Yes, it's called The Last Great American Dynasty, and the lyrics are about the mansion's former owner, this socialite called Rebecca Harkness,
04:59who I guess wed the standard oil heir William Hale Harkness in 1947 and was sort of a scandalous, controversial figure who would fill the pool with champagne.
05:08So maybe Taylor will fill her pool with champagne.
05:11Yes, we need a great Gatsby wedding.
05:13We need to have a Gilded Age moment, you know, for next summer, hopefully.
05:16I could see that for her.
05:17That would be amazing.
