00:00Well, congratulations. You've survived the very first show of Dancing with the Stars.

00:04How are you feeling? I'm sure you're relieved that you got that out of the way.

00:07Now you know what to expect.

00:09Yes, I'm definitely relieved.

00:11I was telling Pasha that the hardest part for me, now that I know for sure,

00:14the hardest part for me is that we do several full runs,

00:19and the expectation is that you go 100% every single time.

00:23Actors, we don't do that.

00:25We are like, we'll give you a little bit here and there,

00:27but then when the camera's rolling, we come alive.

00:30And so for me, I'm like, I do it 100%, and then I'm like, all right, I'm done with that now.

00:36So I was very excited to actually do the performance.

00:40And Pasha, how have you been helping her get out of her comfort zone?

00:43Because it showed tonight. Like, she killed it.

00:46I think she's actually in her comfort zone.

00:48She has no dance experience, but that also means no bad habits.

00:53So we started from scratch, but she has a great skill set coming in.

00:59She can hear the music.

01:01She hears the beat.

01:02She's coordinated, flexible, athletic.

01:07Everything as a teacher you can ask for, she's got it.

01:10I'm mad, right?

01:11Yeah, yeah.

01:12So for me, yeah, yeah.

01:14Oh, thank you.

01:16Okay, I'm done then.

01:17Then I'm done talking since it's in the mail.

01:19That was so perfect.

01:20I loved it.

01:21And fans have been begging for years to get you on the show.

01:24I know you've also wanted to do it as well.

01:26Why did now feel like the right time to finally say yes to Dance in the Stars?

01:30After having cancer last year, I really, truly made the decision

01:33that the next year of my life was going to be my year of yes.

01:37I just wanted to say yes to more things, take more risks.

01:41I was looking at my life and I was like, wow, you know, I really check a lot of boxes.

01:45I really follow a lot of rules.

01:46I really do all the things one needs to do, but I'm not having as much fun

01:51or finding as much joy in life as I should.

01:53And then this opportunity came around and I was like, wow, look at that.

01:56Joy and fun all in one little package.

01:58We're so happy to have you here.

01:59And I feel like that song choice could not have been more perfect

02:02given you wanted to take these risks and have more fun.

02:05So talk to us about the process of picking that out

02:08and selecting that one in particular.

02:10It was a pretty easy choice for me because I'm a big Kelly Clarkson fan

02:13and that song is a song that I listened to a lot when I was going through treatment.

02:18And so it was a pretty easy decision.

02:21I told him it was what I wanted to dance to and he was like, let's do it.

02:25Well, you are balancing so much.

02:27You have your podcast.

02:28You are a special guest.

02:29We hear that you've been binge watching Boy Meets World.

02:32So talk to us.

02:34What's your favorite Topanga moment so far?

02:37Well, first of all, every single comment on our social media is like,

02:42if you open it, it's like capital letters, Topanga.

02:47So and in three weeks of rehearsals, I called you Topanga only once.

02:52I almost did that today.

02:54Once.

02:55Yeah.

02:55My favorite moment, my favorite moment, I think the one that we recreated in our TikTok,

03:00they give me your hand because it's, I think that's how it was our first meet.

03:06It's like we saw each other, we gave each other a hug and it was like our energies converged.

03:11So it's perfectly fitting for our partnership.

03:15And I love that you've also had so many pals that you can bring on your podcast that have

03:19previously done the show, have come to the ballroom.

03:22Who can you tease next?
