00:14Xu Zhou concluded the Second China Museology Conference, focused on developing more inclusive, digital and open museum spaces that foster international exchange.
00:28New tools and proposals were presented to strengthen the preservation and global diffusion of cultural heritage.
00:41From a broader perspective of Chinese culture, museums help convey defining characteristics of our civilization, heritage,
00:49because China carries a million years of human history, 10,000 years of cultural history, and 5,000 years of civilization.
00:58Unity, because although China is a vast and diverse country, many ethnic groups and regional cultures coexist as one nation.
01:07Innovation, which has shaped advances such as the domestication of crops and animals, as well as the for great inventions that had a profound global impact.
01:19And peace, because Chinese civilization has always been inclusive and open, promoting cultural exchange, harmony and cooperation.
01:29The conference drew a large audience, including foreign participants, who highlighted the importance of museums in promoting cultural exchange and strengthening relationships among countries of the global south.
01:47This conference about the future of museums is very important, especially when it's related to culture.
01:56And we see like cultural exchange help us build a real connection and mutual understanding.
02:02So China's culture has so much depth to explore.
02:05And yes, this is my first time visiting Suzhou and I love it so much.
02:10There is a lot of things so like amazing.
02:14Well, I think the global south has a lot to learn about the Chinese philosophy.
02:19You know, they have this kind of slogan about Chinese modernization and tradition and they value tradition a lot.
02:27And they put that effort in museums and sustainability and how can we like put these things together and valorize the culture.
02:38So I think it's a huge opportunity for everybody who comes here to learn their perspective.
02:44The second China Museology Conference wrapped up by highlighting new guidelines for museum accessibility and the creation of specialized committees.
02:56The meeting reinforced international cooperation and the commitment of Chinese museums to sustainability and the global diffusion of cultural heritage.
