BORN with one arm and a deformed leg, Zizipho has never let her disability define who she is. The 26-year-old from Johannesburg, South Africa, is a model and content creator with phocomelia - a rare congenital condition that causes limb mutation and deformity. Growing up, Zizipho had struggled to get accepted by her peers because of her disability. Over the years, she has learned to embrace her body by modelling and working as an influencer. While enjoying a rise in her career, Zizipho is looking for a guy that shares her values in hard work. She is going on a blind date today in the hope of meeting someone special. Zizipho told Truly: "I don't think dating without having an arm or a leg is a problem. If you have character, you have everything." Will Zizipho's date look past her disability?

00:00I was born with a congenital deformation called for camellia lower limbs.
00:04I am missing a left arm and my left leg is shorter than the right leg.
00:11Right now I am getting ready for a blind date.
00:15I'm not to look like the diva that I am.
00:17I don't think dating without having an arm or a leg is a problem.
00:21If you have character, you have everything.
00:23I'm excited, very nervous.
00:26I think it's starting to be a reality that it's actually happening.
00:29Hi.

00:39I was born with a congenital deformation called for camellia lower limbs,
00:43which is a condition that affects your muscular as well as your inside organs and your limbs.
00:48I am missing a left arm and my left leg is shorter than the right leg.
00:55Right now I am putting on my makeup and fixing my hair, getting ready for a blind date.
01:02I would never know if my date would look past my disability today.
01:06However, I am positive about it.
01:10I mean, I'm so fabulous. I still look good.
01:12My confidence is that good right now. I have went on it for years.
01:17I'm excited, very nervous.
01:19I think it's starting to be a reality that is actually happening in a few minutes.
01:26My name is Machi. I'm from Campton Park.
01:28I came here as a software developer engineer.
01:32I actually don't have a type.
01:33My type is really about the characteristics of a person rather than the physical looks.
01:39I'm definitely nervous. I know nothing about my date.
01:52I like facial hair in the man.
01:54And I think that speaks volumes.
01:55You're going to come to me with a beard, a full on big beard.
01:59What's your name?
01:59Machi.
02:01What?
02:01Machi.
02:04How do you say that?
02:05Machi.
02:05M-A-C-H-I.
02:07Machi.
02:08Machi, not likey.
02:10Yeah.
02:10And what's your name?
02:11Zizipo.
02:12Zizipo.
02:13Yeah.
02:14What makes a good date for me would be manners.
02:18Him being respectful, him making eye contact and being friendly.
02:24Etiquette, you know.
02:25What do you do?
02:27Software development.
02:28So I'm a software engineer.
02:30You did IT at school?
02:31Yeah, the computer science actually.
02:33Nice.
02:34Do you do anything other than that?
02:36I like chilli.
02:37Chilli what?
02:38Like chilli sauce.
02:40You like cooking I suppose?
02:42I do.
02:42I really do love cooking.
02:44So you're very intelligent with the feminine side?
02:49Yes.
02:50I like alpha male.
02:52I like confident men.
02:54I like men that are very in touch with their masculine side.
02:59So what do you do?
03:00I have a nine to five of course.
03:02Yeah.
03:02But then I'm a model.
03:03I'm a freelance content creator as well as filmmaker.
03:08I've always wanted to be a model all my life.
03:11And then Instagram came.
03:12I was like let me actually take this chance.
03:15And I was actually spotted by an agency.
03:18And then that's where I started getting signed.
03:20Google me.
03:22Have you ever been with someone that has a disability?
03:25What do you think of people that look like me?
03:30Disability is disability.
03:32It doesn't actually take so much out of you.
03:36How long have you been single?
03:42I haven't been in a relationship.
03:44Do you think it's mostly based on your recognition?
03:4980% of it I think it's caused by that.
03:52And the other 20% it's just me being a diva.
03:56I don't want to make someone feel like I'm holding them hostage by being with me.
04:00Being with me is supposed to make you feel so good.
04:03So if you are constantly worrying about what other people are going to say when you're with me,
04:07it's not going to make me feel happy.
04:09So what has been your biggest turn off when it comes to girls?
04:12Ladies who are more materialistic.
04:14What are you talking to one right now?
04:16I have to turn off for you?
04:18Yeah?
04:18Do you want to do everything you see on the TV?
04:21I am TV.
04:22I am watching TV.
04:23What do you mean?
04:25I want to turn off for you.
04:27Okay, okay.
04:30Do you mind if I just go to the bathroom?
04:33So far it's going great.
04:35I think he's very open-minded about my condition.
04:38It doesn't bother him.
04:40I think.
04:41I'm not too sure.
04:42But he shaded me.
04:43He said they're not like material girls.
04:45And I am very materialistic.
04:47Okay.
04:53So in your next relationship, what are you looking for though?
04:56Oh, you got questions too.
04:58He came prepared.
04:59What am I looking for?
05:02Yeah.
05:04I think we're all looking for something that we never had before.
05:07I want to be touched.
05:08You know soul touching?
05:10Yeah.
05:11I want to feel alive.
05:13I have control in my life.
05:15I don't owe anyone any explanation of anything.
05:18Already living with a disability.
05:20Yeah.
05:20So I don't want to leave with limits with limits.
05:23I don't like that.
05:26I really, really enjoyed actually.
05:28Mitching you.
05:29Let me help you out.
05:30You want to help me out?
05:32Okay.
05:35I think when I first saw her, of course, I did get a sense of more dominance.
05:41But I feel like at the same time, when it went on, of course,
05:45they came to a point where I was understanding her more.
05:51He was very down to earth.
05:53I did not want to overpower him.
05:55I had a lot of questions to ask him.
05:57And I didn't want that to come up as rude.
05:59So I really felt like, let me just turn it down and meet him at his level.
06:03Because he is very quiet and he's very sweet.
06:06Do you think you'll see each other again?
06:10We're definitely going to see each other again.
06:11I don't know about him, but we're definitely seeing each other again.
06:16Yeah, I'll see him again.
06:18That's what I think.
06:20As a person who has never been on a date before, or a blind date,
06:25I think I've learned a lot.
06:26It's been a really great experience.
06:27It's like, okay.
06:33We'll see you next time.
06:35I'm also friends with mom.
06:39We'll see you next time.
06:40Let's see you next time.
06:41I like the possibility of this.
06:47This is my choice.
06:49I'll see you next time.
06:51I'll see you next time.
06:53I'll see you next time!
06:54If you want me in the next time,
06:57I'll see you next time.
06:58Thank you!
06:59I'll see you next time.
