00:00Go ahead.
00:00This is like Explorer Day for you, sir.
00:02Today we have your Columbus Day proclamation for Monday,
00:05which we're signing a bit early.
00:07Christopher Columbus, obviously, discovered the New World in 1492.
00:12He was a great Italian explorer.
00:16He sailed his three ships, the Nina the Pinta and the Santa Maria,
00:19across the Atlantic Ocean and landed in what's today the Caribbean.
00:23But this is a particularly important holiday for Italian-Americans
00:27who celebrate the legacy of Christopher Columbus
00:29and the innovation and explorer zeal that he represented.
00:34In other words, we're calling it Columbus Day.
00:38Yes.
00:44That was the press that broke out in applause.
00:50That was, can you believe that?
00:51I've never seen that happen before.
00:53The press actually broke out in applause.
00:57Good.
00:58Columbus Day.
00:59We're back.
00:59Columbus Day, we're back, Italians.
01:02We love the Italians.
01:04Okay.
01:05Thank you, Mr. President.
01:06Great.
01:06Thank you very much.
01:07Have a good one, sir.
01:08So we covered Scandinavia and Italy.
01:11Not bad.
01:12Now for the rest of the world.
01:14So I want to thank everybody for being here.
01:17As you know, last night we reached a momentous breakthrough
01:20in the Middle East, something that people said was never going to be done.
01:25We ended the war in Gaza and really, on a much bigger basis,
01:29created peace.
01:30And I think it's going to be a lasting peace,
01:32hopefully an everlasting peace.
01:34Peace in the Middle East.
01:36We secured the release of all of the remaining hostages,
01:38and they should be released on Monday or Tuesday.
01:42Getting them is a complicated process.
01:45I'd rather not tell you what they have to do to get them.
01:47There are places you don't want to be.
01:51But we are getting the hostages back on Tuesday,
01:56Monday or Tuesday.
01:57And that will be a day of joy.
01:59I'm going to try and make a trip over.
02:02We're going to try and get over there.
02:04And we're working on the timing.
02:06I'm going to try and do it.
