00:00In honor of Elspeth, we're gonna have you pick a question from our tote bag.
00:04It's spooky season. What's your favorite scary movie and why?
00:08Oh, no, that's so hard.
00:11Mmm, Cabin in the Woods, I think.
00:14Which, like, I guess isn't that scary, but was so much of a fun ride to go on, so I'm gonna stick with that.
00:20Oh, and I just saw Weapons recently, and that was incredible.
00:24So, um, that's my recent favorite and my older favorite.
00:27I'm not a scary movie girl, but if we're talking Halloween movies, Hocus Pocus, am I right?
00:33Classic.
00:33Need I say more, right? Like, iconic, classic, grew up on it, can quote it, that would be my pick.
00:41I'm not a super scary girl, my nerves are bad, y'all. My nerves are bad, so Hocus Pocus for me, keep it kid friendly.
00:47Oh god, I could do something campy, but like the first thing that came to mind is Midsommar,
00:54which is like the Ari Aster movie that came out a few years ago. I've never been so deeply affected
01:00and unsettled by a horror movie ever, and I just think the fact that like everything takes place
01:05in the bright, bright sun makes everything about that movie even more horrifying. Like,
01:10it's the exact opposite of like the horror movie trope.
01:12Yeah.
01:12Um, Ari Aster, he killed it with that one.
