00:00The transition from talent to reality TV host has been so seamless for you.
00:05Whose idea was it?
00:06Were you ready to take a break from finding love to helping others find love?
00:12To be honest, I can say wholeheartedly, and I think everyone else can as well that's seen me on Netflix trying to find love.
00:18It just wasn't working.
00:20Do you know what I mean?
00:22I wasn't able to find love with another person.
00:25But I think one thing that I did learn from that experience, as you've just asked, is I learned to love myself in my own skin and seeing the reception of people that would reach out to me online and talk to me about how open I am with my advocacy of ADHD and dyslexia and being crazy and being weird, but then also being sexy.
00:45I gained the confidence through the fans to really transition into host.
00:50And I think the conversations with Netflix prior, they were like, OK, Chloe, we think you're ready.
00:54And I'm like, am I?
00:55Really?
00:56OK.
00:57Were you aware of the twists going into the show?
01:01To be honest with you, every first season is crazy.
01:07No one really knows what's going on, especially me as the host, especially the talent.
01:12Oh, my God.
01:13I'm so glad I wasn't talent on that show because they were completely blindsided on purpose, obviously.
01:20But, no, I had no idea the challenges, the twists.
01:26Only twist that I knew and was aware of was that we were telling them that they were going to go on Love Rules.
01:33And it was actually Sneaky Links dating after dark.
01:36That was the only twist that I was aware of.
01:37What struck me most about the show was how sincere the people were about trying to change their Sneaky Links ways.
01:46Most people were actually there for the right reasons.
01:49Did that take you by surprise?
01:50Yes and no.
01:54You know, I feel like walking onto a reality TV show as your first show, it's exciting, it's exhilarating, and you're thinking, OK, what can I get out of this opportunity if it isn't love?
02:03But then when I was actually speaking to them, because obviously as a host, I'm their big sister.
02:10Like, I'm there, if they want to cry, I've got a shoulder for them to cry.
02:13And if they want to laugh, then I'll be the one to tell the jokes.
02:16So I feel like as I got to know them and my love for them grew, they were actually there for the right reasons.
02:23And because they loved sneaking.
02:26I mean, I did back in the day.
02:27So I feel like I was the perfect mentor.
02:30Spicy Mari is the relationship expert on the show.
02:32Were you happy to have her by your side?
02:35How did you two get on?
02:36Honestly, if I'd done it by myself, the train would have crashed.
02:42I love psychology, sociology.
02:44I'm actually wanting to study it and go back to college right now.
02:47So I'm obsessed with learning about how people are in relationships romantically.
02:54And that was sparked by Spicy Mari.
02:56So, like, me being with her on set, her being by my side and giving me a leg up whenever I was down.
03:04Or I would wake up and I would feel that my ADHD was playing up.
03:08I hadn't slept.
03:09I had a 15-page script to read and learn within, like, 10, 15 minutes before we had on set.
03:15She would be the one to pull me up and I would be the one to pull her up.
03:18So, yeah, I'm glad that she'd done it with me.
03:20At one point during the show, the daters reveal their body counts.
03:24And I was truly shocked when Brandon said 60.
03:27But Nicole estimated it was probably three times that.
03:31What is your body count?
03:33Oh, my gosh.
03:35Brandon?
03:36Oh, mine's not that high.
03:37It's, like, 60.
03:39Okay.
03:40Bullshit.
03:41He just started having sex last month.
03:44Multiply that by, like, three.
03:46That's for sure a lie.
03:48What was your reaction?
03:50I wasn't shocked.
03:51I was honestly expecting the guys to have, like, triple-digit body counts.
03:56Only because in today's day and age, it's just the norm to have sex, you know?
04:01And to just do it.
04:03And that's why no one has a sustainable relationship, which is why we brought them on the show.
04:07So I was actually quite shocked that it was only 60.
04:10But did you know that there was a study?
04:13When a woman says how many people she slept with, it's, like, minus times two.
04:18Cut it in half.
04:19If a guy says how many women he slept with, times it by two or times it by three.
04:25I was going to say Nicole.
04:26Nicole was on to that one.
04:28There's a question that comes up on the show.
04:30Can men and women be friends?
04:31Do you think guys and girls can just be friends?
04:35Yes.
04:37Brandon?
04:38Absolutely not.
04:40Do girls just not like you?
04:41No, I mean, like, I have...
04:42He wants to fuck them all.
04:43Yeah, I mean, I've hooked up with them, though.
04:45What's your opinion?
04:46I think they can.
04:48I mean, I've got loads of friends that are guys and girls.
04:53I just think it...
04:53There's a level of emotional maturity that you have to reach.
05:00Like, before, if you would have asked me two years ago, I would have said no.
05:04But now, like, I can compose myself and I have discipline.
05:07Last I checked, two couples are still together, Zoe and Travis and Avery and Manny.
05:12How do you feel about them?
05:14Avery and Manny, I knew on the show that these were going to last.
05:19Yeah, they actually sent me a Halloween photo of them, too, through Instagram.
05:23They were like, Chloe, we're still together.
05:25And I'm like, oh, my God, yes, the show's going to do great.
05:29It was kind of like a selfish...
05:31I was like, oh, yes.
05:32Zoe and Travis, absolutely loved them on the show.
05:35To be honest, they had a first conversation one of the first couple days.
05:39And then it took them, like, a week to pick that back up.
05:43So, yeah.
05:44And I see Angelique and...
05:50Oh, my God.
05:52What is his name?
05:55The guy, the surfer dude.
05:57Oh, Logan.
05:57Logan.
05:59So, I see that Angelique and Logan have been posting together.
06:02Yeah.
06:02I've been meaning to reach out to them.
06:04I'm like, is this a thing?
06:06Oh, wow.
06:07I know.
06:07Breaking news.
06:08Breaking news.
06:10And did your time on Sneaky Links make you re-evaluate any of the past relationships or situationships you might have had?
06:18Oh, yeah.
06:19Definitely.
06:19I mean, Angelique's story, she was getting pushed about and put into different corners.
06:28And she was waiting around and she was confused.
06:31And I feel like, as a woman, everyone has been through that.
06:36And especially me.
06:38And it's for the world to see on Netflix.
06:41So, I'm like, okay.
06:41I definitely relate to her.
06:43I have learned quite a lot through Spicy Mari as well and her tactics.
06:47She's like, you need a purpose mate, Chloe, not just someone that is your type, that you're sexually attracted to.
06:53You need someone that you want to love and have babies with and, like, build a life with.
06:57And so, yeah, I did learn a lot.
07:00I know you've been very open with your mental health journey, your struggles with ADHD and dyslexia and your sobriety.
07:07You know, how are you doing today?
07:09So, I love that you just asked that question because it was only recently that I've been speaking to a couple people that have messaged me online about ADHD and stuff.
07:20And it was only, it's only been 30 years that women have actually been taken seriously with ADHD and their diagnosis.
07:30It was labelled as, like, just like guys had ADHD.
07:36And I think my mum tried to get me diagnosed when I was younger and she failed a few times.
07:42They were like, she hasn't got ADHD, she's just hyper.
07:44Now, growing into adulthood, being able to dig deeper into it and research and I'm like, oh, I think I have ADHD.
07:53And then I got diagnosed by a doctor.
07:56The amount of validation it gave me, now I don't talk down on myself.
08:02I'm like, oh, I'm just having a bit of a bad day.
08:04It's fine, it will pass.
08:05So, being able to, like, shift that and help other people through my social media is, honestly, like, it's a God's gift.
08:11I love that I've got ADHD because then I can help people kind of overcome it or just, like, lean into it.
08:17Let's be weird together.
08:20We contain multitudes.
08:21Exactly.
08:22I'm neurodiverse, babe.
08:24I'm neurodiverse.
08:25I don't want to be neurotypical.
08:27I don't want to be neurotypical.
08:28Haha.
08:28Haha.
