00:00I wanted to start with the thing that everybody's talking about, which is the intro song.
00:20I need to know at what point in getting ready for season two, did you guys find out what the
00:24song would be? And then also how quickly does something like that come together? Because
00:29I assume it's, it's not fast. You know, the great thing about James's scripts is that they come with
00:35a soundtrack. So as soon as we got the scripts, we also received the soundtrack for that, that would
00:42go along with that script. So we instantly knew, you know, from the time we got the scripts, which
00:48song it was going to be to. And yeah. Yeah. But I didn't pay much attention to the, the song.
00:58For some reason, I didn't think I was going to be part of the dance. And so I'm a very,
01:04very serious actor. And not true. And so it was a surprise to me that I was going to be part of the
01:12dance and it's a big production. It's like a, it's like a mini Broadway production, that dance and
01:18the learning the choreography and putting it all together was two days of shooting the dance.
01:23And, uh, I, I, I was quite surprised. I luckily found out the song before we started to shoot you,
01:29we went for dinner with Jen. But James was, I think he was writing at the time we just finished
01:36and he, he said, I I've just gotten the song and he played it for me on his phone. Um, and I was
01:41like, wow, this is pretty epic again with James amazing with his, his song choices. Um, but yeah,
01:47we, we started rehearsing and dancing. We didn't get that many. We got, we got videos maybe halfway
01:53through. We shot it at the very end of the shoot. Um, so we did, we did some rehearsing
01:57together on set as well.
01:58Our choreographer name was Clarissa and she would make videos for us because, you know,
02:04all of our schedules are crazy. So we'd watch the video and then we'd come in for a rehearsal
02:08and then we, some of us would need four or five rehearsals. I only needed one, uh, true story.
02:18Well, actually I was, I saw the intro for the first season. I was like, this is amazing. I mean,
02:23the, the idea of it, of everyone being so serious and dancing and like being in character.
02:28I loved it, but I honestly didn't think I was, I was going to be part of it. Um, because you know,
02:34I have, I like to have low expectations so that I get surprised instead of having high expectations
02:38and then get disappointed. So I was like, I'm not going to be in the intro and I'm going to accept it.
02:43And then when I found out, I was like, and it was of the best days of my life. I love dancing
02:49and being with the whole cast and being part of the iconic intro. Cause they told
02:53those like, you know, no emotion in character. I had a blast. It was amazing.
02:58It's my least favorite part. I mean, I appreciate it for what it is because it is definitely the most
03:06talked about. It's the most talked about aspect of the show and coming into season two,
03:16it's also been like the most anticipated part of the show. And I'm just a big oaf. Who's not
03:23coordinated. And it's exhausting to me. Like when we did that, we shot for one day on season one,
03:30it was exhausting. This was a two day shoot, like full days. Um, it was, it was definitely fun,
03:38but it, it was the tough, those are the two toughest days. And I broke my ribs on another day.
03:44Like this was worse. It sounds like the preparations for season three's intro need to
03:49start now. Um, do you guys have songs that you would pitch out to James, if you could,
03:53just to say like, Hey, I think it should be, we're all in this together from high school musical.
03:57Oh my God. I love it. That's it. That's mine. We're all in this together. Yes. That would be mine.
04:05I love that. I think David Bowie, let's dance or fame.
