Recreational fishers say new restrictions on fishing in the Spencer Gulf are unfairly targeted. The SA government has introduced a 50 per cent reduction in catch limits for four species in the Spencer Gulf amid the algal bloom. The restrictions come into place on November 1 and are expected to last until the middle of next year.
