00:06Praise be to God, who sent down the Book to His servant and made therein no crookedness.

00:12Peace and blessings be upon our Prophet Muhammad, may God bless him and grant him peace.

01:20If the Qur’an is healing and mercy while awake

01:25How will it affect you when you sleep and your soul still hears the verses of God?

01:33Sleep is a minor death in which life does not cease completely.

01:38The soul moves between the unseen world and the visible world.

01:45The greatest comfort she can find is the words of her Lord.

01:49God Almighty said

01:51God takes the souls when they die, and those that do not die in their sleep.

01:59He keeps the one He has decreed to die and sends the other back for a specified term.

02:09Indeed in that are signs for a people who give thought.

02:17The Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, said:

02:21Sleep is the brother of death

02:24Narrated by Al-Bayhaqi

02:26Secondly, angels are present when hearing the Qur’an.

02:31God Almighty said

02:33Indeed, those who say, “Our Lord is Allah” and then remain on a right course - upon them the angels will descend.

02:42Do not be afraid and do not be sad

02:46And be glad of the Paradise you were promised.

02:53We are your guardians in this life and in the hereafter

02:59And you will have therein whatever your souls desire, and you will have therein whatever you request.

03:09Descended from the Forgiving, the Merciful

03:14The Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, said:

03:18A community of people in one of the houses of God reciting the Book of God

03:24And they study it among themselves until tranquility descends upon them.

03:30And mercy covered them and angels surrounded them

03:34And God mentioned them among those with Him

03:37Narrated by Muslim

03:39If the recitation meeting in mosques brings angels

03:45Do you think that when the voice of the Qur’an is heard in your home?

03:50Deprived of this light

03:52But angels come to surround the house

03:55Filled with mercy and tranquility

03:59Even if you were asleep

04:01The Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, said:

04:04Light up your homes as much as you can

04:07The house in which the Qur’an is read

04:11He is generous to his family and his goodness is abundant

04:15Angels attend him and demons abandon him.

04:19The house in which the Qur’an is not read

04:22He makes things difficult for his family and reduces his goodness

04:26The angels abandon him and the devils attend him

04:30Narrated by Al-Darimi in his Sunan

04:40Don't make your homes graves

04:43Satan flees from the house in which Surah Al-Baqarah is recited.

05:44The Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, said:

05:47Actions are judged by intentions

05:50Narrated by Al-Bukhari and Muslim

05:52If you intend to leave the Qur’an distracted

05:56May your home be filled with the remembrance of Allah

05:59And let your soul hear the word of God

06:02Even in your sleep

06:04Your sleep turns into remembrance and worship

06:09You get paid while you are immersed in comfort.

06:14Fifth: The effect of the Qur’an on the body and soul during sleep

06:19Recent studies have proven that

06:22Listening to the Holy Quran has a wonderful effect on the mind and body.

06:28Calms the heartbeat

06:31Reduces stress and anxiety

06:34Protects against insomnia

06:36It gives peace and tranquility

06:39But this is not strange

06:41God Almighty said

06:43Those who believe and whose hearts find comfort in the remembrance of Allah

06:51Only in the remembrance of Allah do hearts find rest

06:58Sixth, the Qur’an is your guardian until you wake up.

07:02On the authority of Abu Hurairah, may God be pleased with him, he said:

07:06The Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, entrusted me with this

07:10By saving Ramadan zakat

07:13Then someone came to me and started scooping up food.

07:17So I took him and said, “By God, I will take you to the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace.”

07:24He said I am in need and I have children and I have a lot of needs

07:30He said, so I left him and woke up

07:33The Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace, said:

07:36O Abu Hurairah, what did your prisoner do last night?

07:40I said, O Messenger of God, I am in dire need and have children.

07:45I took pity on him and let him go

07:47He said, "He lied to you and will come back."

07:52I knew he would come back

07:54As the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, said:

07:57He will be back

07:59I spotted him and he came to collect some food.

08:03So I took him and said, “I will take you to the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace.”

08:10He said, "Leave me, for I am in need and have children. I will not return."

08:16I took pity on him and let him go

08:18Then I woke up and the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, said to me:

08:23O Abu Hurairah, what did your prisoner do?

08:26I said, O Messenger of God, I am in dire need and have children.

08:31I took pity on him and let him go

08:34He said, "He lied to you and will come back."

08:38I spotted him for the third time and he came to collect some food.

08:43So I took it

08:44I said, I will take you to the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace.

08:49This is the last three times.

08:52You claim you won't come back then you come back

08:57He said, "Let me teach you words that will benefit you."

09:01I said, "What is it?" He said, "When you go to bed, recite Ayat al-Kursi."

09:09Allah, there is no god but He, the Ever-Living, the Self-Sustaining

09:13Until the verse ends

09:15There will always be a guardian over you from God

09:20And no devil shall come near you

09:23Until you let him go

09:27Then I woke up and the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, said to me:

09:31What did your prisoner do yesterday?

09:33I said, O Messenger of God

09:35He claimed to teach me words that would benefit me from God.

09:40So I let him go

09:42He said what is it?

09:44I said, he told me when I go to bed, recite Ayat al-Kursi.

09:50From the beginning

09:51Until the verse ends

09:53Allah, there is no god but He, the Ever-Living, the Self-Sustaining

09:57He told me

09:58God will always be your protector

10:01And no devil will come near you until morning

10:05They were the most eager people for good

10:09The Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace, said:

10:12He believed you, but he is a liar

10:16Learn who you have been talking to for the past three nights, Abu Hurairah

10:22He said no

10:23That is a devil

10:26Narrated by Al-Bukhari

10:28Satan himself admits that the Throne Verse prevents him from reaching you throughout the night.

11:29Make your intention pure for Allah

11:31Try to start with the intention of listening before you fall asleep.

11:36Start with Surah Al-Baqarah, Yasin, or Tabarak.

11:42Make sure to recite Ayat al-Kursi and the Mu'awwidhat before sleeping.

11:47Always make your home full of the Qur’an

12:08Blessed is he whose last breaths are in this world

12:54God Almighty said

12:55Indeed, this Qur’an guides to that which is most powerful.

13:01And gives good tidings to the believers who do righteous deeds.

13:07They will have a great reward.

13:11And God Almighty said

13:14Even if We had made it a foreign Quran

13:17They would have said, "Why were His verses not explained in detail?"

13:22Persian and Arabic

13:25Say, "It is, for those who believe, a guide and a cure."

13:31And those who do not believe - in their ears is deafness.

13:37He is blind to them

13:40Those who call from a far place

13:47The Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, said:

13:50God has people who are worthy of worship

13:53They said, O Messenger of God, who are they?

13:57The people of the Qur’an said that they are the people of God and His chosen ones.
