00:00Spurs first goalless draw since I think March 2023
00:28125 games ago, did you set out to grind it out like that?
00:33Because that was kind of how it became in Manor.
00:38I think it was a game where relatively even first half
00:45and then the second half where I think Monaco was better than us,
00:48where we didn't hit the performance we won.
00:52I think we lacked a bit of intensity overall in the game,
01:00especially the second half.
01:02And that combined where we didn't hit a good knock level,
01:08that can happen.
01:10I think we are learning Champions League.
01:13And every game in Champions League is difficult,
01:17especially away games against a good Monaco side,
01:20I said before the game,
01:22which I also think it's fair to say they hit the best half
01:25in the season against us, but fair play to them.
01:29And then the ability for us to compete in the Premier League
01:31and then in the Champions League is a challenge we're up for,
01:35one, two.
01:36I also think it's fair to say last year we finished 17th
01:38and compete in the Europa League.
01:40So we are taking it step by step.
01:43And it's not the worst thing on a bad day
01:45to get a point and a clean sheet.
01:50And I think today the clean sheet was down to a few things,
01:55but a big thing down to Vicario.
01:56I think they played a fantastic game.
01:59Thomas, in the last sort of 10, 11 years,
02:03Tottenham managers have always had either both Harry Kane and Son
02:07to rely on or one of them.
02:09You've got neither of them.
02:11Are we seeing the reality of that at the moment,
02:13that, like you said, there's some learning going on?
02:16It's quite difficult to create chances.
02:20Yes, yeah.
02:21I think that's fair to say.
02:23We have Wilson Olderberg that I think is a very, very good talent.
02:27And I think he's been positive.
02:29But, of course, he is taking his step into Premier League
02:34and the Champions League.
02:38With other players also.
02:39We shall just come to the club.
02:40Lucas, a young player.
02:42Could have been an obsession for us,
02:44but also played more or less every minute.
02:45So, like maybe that little extra spark today,
02:50a cool moany that we believe can make a difference.
02:54I think it looked positive when he came on.
02:55But, you know, I had that injury and then Dom.
02:59So, of course, there's some of that.
03:01No complaints.
03:02It is what it is.
03:03It's my job to get the most out of the players available.
03:09Thomas, you said that some of the players lack some intensity, I think.
03:12We obviously always associate your teams, your football,
03:15with aggression and intensity.
03:17What do you put that down to?
03:19Is it a Champions League night?
03:21Yeah, good question.
03:24Maybe we need to think a little bit more.
03:25about it.
03:26I'll try to come with an answer.
03:30There can be many, many things.
03:33It can be a combination of
03:37played a good and very competitive game against the Villa.
03:41I think we performed very well.
03:43Then to go again.
03:44Some of you haven't done that too much.
03:48Some have.
03:49We could be just on the day you don't hit a top performance.
03:53And I think actually first half was okay in that sense.
03:56But I think second half we lacked more.
03:58But just to be clear, is it a matter of effort in your mind?
04:01No, I think it's more the ability to go again and again and again in every action throughout the game.
04:11And I think it's not been a problem at other times.
04:18Sometimes it is.
04:20So, yeah, today was not top.
04:21Hi, Thomas.
04:24Just on Vicario, his performance was questioned a little bit, so to speak, on Sunday after the two long-range Villa goals.
04:33Is he the type of character that would have used that as fuel tonight?
04:37Did you speak to him?
04:39There's been some questions amongst fans whether he should be your number one.
04:44But that was a great response tonight.
04:46Yeah, I think two goals against the Villa.
04:50I don't think it's like mistakes.
04:52I don't think it's any of that two great finishes.
04:58But what I would say, and as you said there, I think he was very good today.
05:02I think some of his saves was exceptional tonight.
05:06And he's a big part why we've got a hard-fought point.
05:11But at the end of the day, it can be a crucial point.
05:13I'll just check on Wilson as well.
05:14He seems to feel something with his abdomen.
05:17Did he pick up an injury or was he okay?
05:19Actually, I don't know.
05:20But of course, we chopped him off because there was some pain.
05:23But I don't know the consequences of it.
05:27Hi, Thomas.
05:29Monica had 23 shots tonight.
05:31Is that worrying for you that they're hurting a lot?
05:34I know that you've drawn.
05:36But I just want to know your thoughts on that.
05:39Yeah, I think you can say we just played home to Villa where they only had eight shots.
05:43So if it was every game we conceded 23 shots, it would be a big challenge.
05:49Which it is definitely not.
05:51So it can be a combination of lack of intensity, a combination of Monaco hitting a very high level,
05:59a combination of us not hitting the best level.
06:02But they had too many shots to what I would like.
06:08Hi, Thomas.
06:08It's been a long time since we've seen Archie Gray start at left-back.
06:12Obviously, there has to be kind of rotation playing Premier League Champions League so often.
06:16But what did you think that he could give you from that position today?
06:20Yeah, I think he solved it very well.
06:23As he's done a lot of times last year, left-back, right-back and centre-back.
06:27But, yeah, I think he can play all three positions.
06:33I think his best position is still midfielder.
06:36But I think he can play all three and I think he is, how can you say,
06:43I like his character and effort in the left-back, right-back, right-back today.
06:47And he just carried on when he came into the midfield and did well there as well.
06:52Final one at the back, please.
06:53Thomas, in French, for the question, please.
06:56Just a word on Randal Kolomwani.
06:59He was back today in the Champions League.
07:03Do you think he could quickly return to France?
07:06What is he missing to find the national team today?
07:17First and foremost, I think it was very nice to have him back in the Champions League.
07:22I'm sure he appreciated it as well.
07:24We were very happy.
07:25I'm very happy that we managed to sign him in the end of the transfer window.
07:30He was unlucky to pick up a dead leg early.
07:33It's kept him out of the game so far.
07:36But now he's been training well for some weeks.
07:38And he got minutes in the weekend against Villa.
07:40Got more minutes today.
07:41And I think it looked some promising actions today.
07:46And, of course, he liked a little bit more rhythm and max top actions.
07:51But I like him a lot in many aspects.
07:58And I think for any player to come into any national team, and the French is a very strong national team,
08:06of course, you need to play more games.
08:08And hopefully we'll do that.
08:08Thank you very much.
