Year 5 children from seven schools in the Alton area took part in the annual Primary Big Sing at Eggar's School in Holybourne.
There were around 260 participants from Anstey Junior School and Selborne, Bentley, Andrews' Endowed, The Butts, Four Marks and Rowledge primary schools.
They arrived at Eggar's at 9am on October 21 and sang in a massed choir rehearsal from 9.30am to 10.15am.
After a 20-minute break - in which copious amounts of custard creams were consumed, courtesy of eight Year 8 and eight Year 9 helpers from Eggar's - they had another 45-minute massed rehearsal.
This one started with a photo shoot for the benefit of the schools and the Herald, and the video cameras were whirring to capture their performance of Journey's 1981 hit Don't Stop Believin', a popular choice for school choirs since it featured in the pilot episode of the television series Glee in 2009.
A 50-minute long Junior Schools Showcase followed, and then after lunch came the climax of the event, with two half-hour concerts.
Group A - Selborne, Anstey, Rowledge and Andrews' - took the stage from 1.15pm to 1.45pm, and after a quick turnaround Group B - The Butts, Four Marks and Bentley - sang from 2pm to 2.30pm to round off a memorable day.
