00:00One game that is maybe a little bit muddier, though, to talk about,
00:05but it's definitely relevant, is Washington and Dallas,
00:09where you get this huge Cowboys win.
00:12You see Jerry's up there.
00:13He's having the time of his life.
00:14Dak has this big-time performance, three passing touchdowns,
00:17a 74-yarder to CeeDee Lamb.
00:19Pickens is still heavily involved in the game.
00:22Multiple touchdowns go to Jake Ferguson.
00:23Why I think it's muddier, though, is Jane Daniels gets hurt
00:27early in that third quarter, and coming out of the break,
00:32I know they were down 12, but with the way that game was going,
00:38you know, with your Washington, you're a stop away from, you know,
00:40hey, maybe us, right?
00:42I mean, in fact, if not for a disaster, I mean, the defense, woof,
00:48a 72, four-play 72-yard touchdown drive in 35 seconds,
00:51where you were down five with the ball coming out.
00:54All of a sudden, it felt like it didn't matter.
00:55What is your biggest takeaway from Dallas doubling up Washington
00:59and Jaden Daniels injured for the second time this season?
01:02Yeah, concerned, but if you listen in the preseason,
01:05I was never high on this team to be a 12-win football team.
01:11I said 9-8, 10-7 at the most.
01:14I expected regression.
01:15I wasn't sold on their defense being elite.
01:18I think, obviously, second year after you make it to a championship,
01:21you're going to have the bullseye on your back.
01:23Still not sold on the wideout position outside of Terry McLaurin.
01:27Zach Ertz, to me, is an aging veteran, even though we stepped up last year.
01:31I thought they needed to get younger and put playmakers around them.
01:35Rushing attack.
01:36Everybody loves Crosby Merritt.
01:38I'm not, you know, he's good.
01:40He's not, I don't give or take the guy.
01:43I mean, you know, it's not Saquon or Derrick Henry.
01:46He's a winning offensive rookie of the year.
01:47Right, right, but that's my point.
01:49So, again, Jaden has been hit more times this year than he was last,
01:55and I think a part of that is, too, you don't have skill around them.
02:00You know, he was able to do it last year with, you know,
02:03because of how he hit the ground running and teams were, I just don't think, ready.
02:08But now with extra preparation, they are a football team that, again,
02:14can be exposed by better football teams.
02:17Now, on the road in this matchup, this was no doubt going to be,
02:21it was my best bet yesterday, a high-scoring game.
02:23Yeah.
02:23And, but again, without McCord.
02:25Can I answer something about that quickly?
02:26Sorry, but is Washington's defense terrible?
02:30Did they have injuries?
02:31No, I just think, look, they weren't great against the run last year.
02:35Like, Dallas was just dialed.
02:36Yeah, and I just think, again, they're an aging group.
02:40Bobby Wagner's old.
02:41But it wasn't an injury thing.
02:42You were just happy to fade him.
02:44Yeah, I mean.
02:44I know it was on both sides of the game.
02:46But I think you saw it against Caleb and Chicago.
02:49You know, the defense was exposed by DeAndre Swift.
02:51They can't stop the run.
02:52They're starting to wear down yet again.
02:55Dallas's offense, we know, is the one thing consistent with the Cowboys.
02:59Divisional matchup going on the road, never easy.
03:01Right.
03:02And with the addition of C.D. Lamb coming back,
03:04you knew that Dallas was going to push tempo.
03:06And I just think that Washington was built.
03:09Hey, Jaden, as long as he's healthy, I'll go with you.
03:11I don't care what I have around me.
03:13The problem, though, is the offensive identity that they had,
03:18Washington last year, with Jaden being 80% of the productivity on the ground,
03:24is no longer there because of his injury.
03:27And now, what did he have, 35 yards on the ground?
03:30He had 39 yards on the ground against the Chargers.
03:33This team is successful when he's getting 70 and 80 on the ground and, oh,
03:38by the way, throwing for two and a quarter.
03:40And they just can't do that right now because he's limited.
03:44And how much more limited will he be?
03:46That will ultimately dictate whether they're a contender or a dark horse
03:50playoff team.
03:50Yeah, I think Washington's cooked.
03:52I'll be honest with you.
03:52I think he is missing.
03:53It wouldn't shock me.
03:54He's going to miss another game, right?
03:58Right.
03:59And I think now he's going to get a little of early Lamar worries.
04:04Remember, Lamar had a stretch where he was an injured quarterback, right?
04:06He's, I know, I know it's funny to say he's currently right now injured,
04:10but, you know, this is now not the norm, what Lamar is currently going through,
04:14right?
04:15I'm not saying Jaden Daniels is going to be injured forever,
04:16but I think Washington is going to have, clearly he's going to have this
04:20regression season, but what was so odd to me about this game,
04:24not that he didn't like the over that you played, but.
04:27I just, I knew it was going to be that type of game.
04:30So Dak has now had four straight games of three plus touchdowns and no
04:33interceptions, right?
04:35124 plus passer rating in all of them and 88 or better QER in all of them.
04:39He's playing like arguably the best player in the league, right?
04:42And I've talked about pressure-free Prescott, which I think is a real thing.
04:45Right.
04:45Right.
04:45But this game, I think had maybe a little extra pressure to close the
04:51favorites, lambs back in division, right?
04:53Like them lighting up Washington in the way people have lit up the Dallas
04:59defense was a jarring thing.
05:01And it just, it put me a little more on alert of what can this Dallas team do
05:07this year?
05:08I don't think they have, they have no chance to be in the NFC championship
05:10game.
05:11They have no chance.
05:12I would just say they could be like Jaden was last year, where if Dak is
05:16playing at that level, right?
05:17But again, second, the playoff start, guess what?
05:19No longer pressure-free Prescott.
05:20He's going to have a bad game.
05:21No, I'm there.
05:21Let's go.
