AFC East Reign in Jeopardy

Jeremy and Joe wonder if the days of the Bills being crowned AFC East winners before the season are over.

00:27Their defense has some issues, and their roster, they've got some holes.

00:31But as these teams now jockey for position, without even predicting this year,

00:38who knows, coin toss.

00:39Maybe the Bills win the division by three games, and the Patriots show that they're not ready.

00:43But by next year, assuming Drake May is healthy,

00:48I feel like it's going to be a no longer assumed AFC East for the Bills.

00:53You've got a legitimate, well-run franchise.

01:04And what are the Patriots?

01:06They've got a stud quarterback, and they've got a coach that has won.

01:10Like, not Super Bowls, not AFCs, but has put together winning seasons and is good.

01:16I think Vrabel is good, better than any other coach in this division outside of McDermott.

01:21If you want to put those two against each other, you can.

01:24But the days of assuming the East runs through the Bills with no competition, those days are gone.

01:30I think assuming it is over, I think, because I would pick the Bills still to win this division.

01:35I still think they'll get there.

01:37It probably will be close because of schedules, but right now, if you want the odds,

01:42they're minus 175 still to win it.

01:44Which is a good favorite.

01:46It's not as good a favorite, though, when you consider they were like minus 7,000 a month ago.

01:51Like, they were lock central, and now it's a little closer to a pick-em or a 50-50.

01:59When you throw assuming in there, though, I'm not assuming it anymore.
